UPDATED: MAY 12, 2023 *rating overgezet 2016* Het is een troebel donkerbruin bier met een medium schuimkraag. Het heeft een aroma van gebrande mout en drop. De smaak is gebrande mout, drop en droog bitter in de afdronk.

UPDATED: OCT 16, 2020 Bottle. Dark brown pour. Aroma of herbal peachy hop, chocolate, caramel, licorice, little citrus and lager yeast. Taste has bitter peach, chocolate, licorice, caramel, lager yeast, earthy coffee and quite a lot of carbonation. Not bad, it's like a black hoppy lager, only the high carbonation is costing points.

UPDATED: SEP 21, 2019 Fles 33cl bij Stalles in Rotterdam. 4,7%. Hop (saphir), droog, roasted malts, koffie, noot, citrus, bitter, peperig, earl grey. Waterigheid valt heel erg mee. Interessant. Goed. (21-9-2019).

On tap at Kaapse, Rotterdam. Very dark brown. Mildly roasty aroma, tastes bitter, roasty and nutty with some raisins and vanilla. Rather fizzy, bitter and roasty finish, full body. Nice!

Bottle from de Caigny Dranken in Essen, Belgium. The beer is nearly black colored and has a large cappuccino foam, with very livingly CO2. The aroma is malty with notes of caramel, roasted malts, dried fruits, coffee, cacao, tea and spices. The taste is medium bodied and starts malty with caramel, roasted malts, fruits, flowers, dried fruits and goes to bitter with tea, spices, cacao and coffee. The finish is dry, bitter and has some cacao notes.

UPDATED: AUG 4, 2018 Very dark brown color large fluffy beige head. Aroma of malted milk balls covered with chocolate. Taste is more earthy than sweet, lightly spiced chocolate. Interesting.

Very strange beer, a mix of a smoked ale, porter and black ipa. But with good effect, very tasteful and leathery. For the experimentors.

Zwart zeer levendig bier met veel schuim. Smaak is licht bitter en ietwat zoet met iets van anijs en drop met diepe fruitige en kruidige tonen van nootmuskaat, pruimen en druif.
