UPDATED: DEC 16, 2023 Bottle from Legacy bought in December 2015 for $17.35 CAD, cellared for 8 years. -crisp bitter malty, cinnamon raisin bitter light tangy, astringent soft sour carrot rooty malt, boozy lvl3-sweetness, lingering astringent hop tangy bitter, cinnamon mild vanilla exhale. -flavours seem to work but there's an astringent and unpleasant bitterness and too much booze as it warms

UPDATED: OCT 27, 2023 Draught. Hazy orangeish golden colour with a mediumsized white foamy head. Aroma is very sweet, some parfumed soap, wheat, spices and mild toffee. Flavour is quite same to the elements as the aroma is, but has a quite nice balance between the sweetness and dry spiciness. Alcohol does give it a slight warming feel too (in a pleasant way).

This should be rated way higher. It's original and there's carrot you can taste but doesn't overwhelm. A real original. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle 650ml @ home
Pours clear golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, belgian yeast, alcohol and hint of spices. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long warm, boozy, yeasty and light spiced finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle. Unclear orange body with a small white head. Almost intense in aroma, caramel malt with plenty of spices a bit like pumpkin pie spices, some fruit and Belgium yeast. Flavor is unusually, quite strong spiced like aroma, some fruit in general, distinct carrot, cheese, cinnamon, banana, dry fruit and Belgium yeast. Balanced body and the same crazy aftertaste. This is pretty wild and unexpected, but clearly the kind of “pastry beer” I prefer as its real flavors and still tastes like beer. Nice and funny.
