COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
"I have love in me the likes of which you can scarcely imagine and rage the likes of which you would not believe. If I cannot satisfy the one, I will indulge the other."

A Long Time Boiled Vicious/Viscous Beast of a Barley Wine aged in Brandy Barrels.

Style: Barrel Aged Barley Wine

Malts: Pale, Oats, Special B, Melanoidin, Biscuit, Cane Sugar

Hops: Mosaic, Citra

The aim was to create a viscious beer. A long time boiled Barley Wine to give you a thick mouth feel, we then rounded it out and balanced the beer by sitting it in Brandy Barrels. This has mellowed it out to leave a light hop profile and a super tasty beer.

Idiosynkrasie (16065) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - JUN 18, 2019
UPDATED: JUN 18, 2019 330ml bottle. Darkest brown colour with ruby glimmer and late awakenig, small, creamy, fading, tan head. Sweet-ish, dark and caramel malty aroma, notes of treacle, toffee, malt lozenge, a touch of coffee and marmite. Taste is sweet caramel and slightly dark malty, notes of malt lozenge, treacle, toffee, honey, fruity notes of dried fruit, red berries; well hidden alcohol. Oily to viscous texture, super soft, smooth and silky, minimally sticky palate, lingering, sweet-ish malty finish. Dangerously drinkable. Wow! I'm not really a fan of the style, the examples I usually better like are generously hopped ones - this is an impressive, well crafted and very tasty malt bomb. Thumbs up!
