COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

From 0.33 L bottle; pours dark brown with an off-white head. Aroma of caramel and dark fruits. Taste follows the aroma. Taste is a bit more fruity. Flat carbonation, medium body. Nice!

8/I/17 - 33cl bottle from Gouwen Aar (Gouda) @ home - BB: 16/X/17 (2017-36)

Note: Ha! As an employee of Ghent University, I just had to buy this beer and share it with my beer buddy and colleague Erwin! :-)
Clear purplish brown beer, small creamy beige head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: quite some diacetyl, coffee candy (Arabier snoepjes), caramel, sweet. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: lots and lots of caramel, coffee, Haagse hopjes (I swear, I hadn’t read the text above, and I’m almost sure it wasn’t on the label either), pretty bitter. Aftertaste: more coffee flavoured candy, not much else except for some butter scotch, so I’m thinking diacetyl again. Alas, gebuisd, kom nog eens terug in september! :p

ALIBALI (4265) - Kiel, GERMANY - JAN 20, 2017
Dieser Bier will dich...deine ganze Aufmerksamkeit...das volle Programm. Harte Aromen von frisch geöffneten Kaffeealuverpackungen, Holunder und Marzipankuchen, lassen deine Knospen kurz erstarren...HALLO??!!?? Heavy. Halleluja. Extravaganto Part Two tonight. And the night is young. 0,33/3,39€. Flasche vom MITRA in Groningen.

Overall it is a good beer with an outlier flavor, in a good way. Definitelt a caramel beer. This makes it a good beer to share because 33cl is a little too much and the sweetness becomes annoying near the bottom third of the botte. Bottle from Bierhuys Bierwinkel

Bijl (1430) - NETHERLANDS - OCT 30, 2016
Donkerbruin, wazig, schuimkraag is bijna direct weg, weinig koolzuur. Inderdaad een after dinner bier.

33cl bottle shared. Apperance: A Dark amber with a small to average sized beige head. Aroma: malts, caramel, coffee, cream, haagse hopjes,vanilla.toffee.. Taste: Sweet Haags Hopjes a mix od caramal and sweet coffee some dark bread tyring to provide a balance. Moderate body, avarage carbonation, cremy texture. Not my beer with it’s sweetness, still interresting and quite a desert type of beer.

Lore (6794) - Budapest, HUNGARY - SEP 23, 2016
Hazy brown colour, medium sized dense beige-ish head; aroma of coffee with cream and chocolate (in Hungary, we have a chocolate bar which perfectly describes the experience, Kapuciner szelet); taste is the same with a bit less intensity; excellent beer
