Dark brown beer with lots of beige head, stays. Aroma has yeast, some fruits. Taste is malt, alcohol, some beans. Didn’t feel much rye. Didn’t feel enough roast. It has a very strong tastes and not easy to drink it. Very good beer, although it seems to be something between Imperial stout and black IPA. Sweet, medium bitterness. Bitterness comes equally from, hops, alcohol and roast.

Aus der Flasche am 2016-11 getrunken. Ein Rye IPA was null Hopfenbitterkeit aber dafür eine tolle Graphafruitnote hat, die nicht dominiert aber mit seiner Citrus-Bitterkeit super abrundet daher kommt. Mit den +8% ist es immernoch super süffig. Tolles Bier!

UPDATED: MAR 18, 2017 Bottle. Pours opaque black with huge off-white foamy head. Aroma is malt, caramel, apple, licorice caramel and hints of soy sauce. Taste is light to medium sweet, very intense bitter and faint acidic. Busy is creamy with soft carbonation. Finish is long and very bitter with notes is sugar, malt, sweet licorice, bitter grapefruit, bitter cos lettuce, bitter chocolate and red grape skin. Very well balanced.

KØLF 120816. Black color with a beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, hop, coffee, chocolate. flavor is roasted malt, hop, coffee, chocolate, grapefruit, tropical fruits. Full body. Very nice beer.

33 cl bottle at 137’an bar och kök. pours black with little head. Roasted coffee aroma with coffee and hoppy taste. Grapey, piney with coffee notes.

Pours nut brown with huge beige head. Aroma is fresh fruits, floral, some toast, citrus, some grapefruit, a bit caramel. Taste is toast, fruits, strong citrus, grapefruit, some bread, rye, cereals, caramel. Surprisingly fruity for black ipa.

L: -pours the darkest of brown with ruby tinges and a big,foamy,sand-coloured head S: -spicy,earthy,licorice,coffee,nutty,cher to high carbonation -light to medium body -alcohol noticeable O: A tad lighter than the usual Black IPA (i.e. hoppy Imperial Stout). Carbonation is a bit high, other than that this is very good.

33cl-fles van bij Bierhalle Deconinck te Vichte. U: Bijna zwart met grote beige schuimkraag. G: Citrus, ananas, tropisch fruit en grassig. S: Tropisch fruitige aanzet, lichte toetsen van chocolade, karamel en drop. Beetje alcoholwarmte in de afdronk. M: Volle body met stevige carbonatie.

Bottle. Black, medium head. Rich aroma: roasted, coffee, toffee, caramel, pine. Taste: bitter start, very hoppy, roasted, sweet finish. Nice beer!
