Skallish (34) - Georgia, USA - DEC 30, 2022UPDATED: DEC 30, 2022 Definitely one of my favorite stouts!
It checks all the boxes for an outstanding to world class stout. Only the aroma was a little less than perfect. You’ll enjoy it.
midovark (6294) - Alkmaar, NETHERLANDS - JUN 16, 2022UPDATED: JUN 16, 2022 Bottle at the Airbnb, yet another ‘1001 beers…’ from Carrefour. Pours black with a beige head. It’s got chocolate, nuts, sugars and light coffee both on the nose and in taste. It’s leaning towards the sweet side with just a hint if bitterness. A tad sugary but otherwise pretty okay.

The aroma is roasted dark malts, char, chocolate, coffee, with a floral hint. Smooth light body. The taste is sweet but I also get a kind of vegetable oil character with those dark malts.
imdownthepub (26051) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JUN 24, 2020UPDATED: JUN 24, 2020 Bottled, 355ml a gift from Ian, many thanks. Black with beige head. So a stronger version of the famous original and boy is it sweet, saccharin along with sweet liquorice, coconut milk notes. The roasty malts do come through. There is a salty chemical note in the background. It's fine.
