Martinsh (2834) - Crewe, Cheshire, ENGLAND - MAY 11, 2017Bottle at home – originally came from Beer Dock in Crewe I guess.
Crikey this one is lively ! Froth foaming out of the bottle, and completely filling my 1/3 pint glass. Might be something to do with the fact that its Best Before date is over a year ago ! Soon settled down though. A very strong nose of aniseed, treacle, marmalade and just a hint of coffee. The coffee comes through in the flavour though, together with dark chocolate and liquorice. Very warming at the finish. A bit too carbonated to be a classic porter, but a very good drink in itself.
