UPDATED: NOV 28, 2018 Aromas of Christmas cake. Burnt toffee. Boozy on the nose. Smooth aftertaste. Would happily drink again.

UPDATED: NOV 28, 2018 Well this is a pretty insane beer. It's rye all over and it pushes through the sinuses. Booze comes through at the end but is pretty mild.

UPDATED: NOV 28, 2018 Delicious as always. Full body but still a little too sweet for a full glass. It's been interesting to see how its changed over the years and will be good to see in a few more years.

UPDATED: NOV 28, 2018 Best of the Jumping the Shark I have had. Big and bold and delicious with a little bit of sweetness at the end.

UPDATED: NOV 28, 2018 Age is treating this nicely. Tasting a lot more mellowed out than when fresh. Melding together nicely

UPDATED: NOV 28, 2018 Pours a jet black with light tan head. Aroma is spice, oak, aniseed. Liquorice, aniseed lead from the front with subtle chocolate. But that’s where the subtlety ends. It’s warm, boozy and not afraid to show it. Jumping The Shark 2015 is indeed Moon Dog’s The Fonz moment. With layered rye upon rye spiciness and enough chocolate to send the entire Pacific Ocean’s sharks into a feeding frenzy it is a TV moment of a beer.

Bottle at Bitter Phew, Sydney. Dark Body off white head. Strong sweet malty fruity aroma. Taste is very sweet, rich, caramel and cola notes, dried fruit, rye. It’s not a roasty stout but heavily to the sweet side without being clothing. High abv well masked. Nice.

375ml bottle from Prince Wine. Pours black in colour with a beige foam head. Aroma of roast malt with coffee & chocolate. Taste is sweetish, roasted, malty, rich chocolate, molasses, dried fruits, spicy and earthy rye whisky. Medium to full bodied, soft carbonation, warm dry boozy finish. Nicely sippable.

I’m fussy, but this is the best beer I’ve drunk in my life! Had it as a chaser to Sierra Nevada’s Mallard barrel aged stout, but this was incredible in comparison. Lovely boozey sweetness, loads of coffee dried prunes toasted caramel flavoured malt. So balanced and complex. Hope they keep making it as it was hard to find a second bottle after I drank the first. If you find it, just say fuck it and pay whatever it cost! You won’t regret it.
