UPDATED: FEB 10, 2024 $NZ 7.79 for 355 ml bottle from Beer Cellars (NZ) online : Stunningly clear , glorious amber colour , ginormous tan head : A looker , she's a babe ! ... mild aroma , subdued ( beer at 4 °c , may need warming slightly to open up ) ... barleywinish taste , quite boozy , a touch sweet , OTT hoppy bitterness , tartly salivating ... an acquired taste .... ended my session , no more beer after this one ...a hefty brute .

gripweed57 (7490) - Hamilton Square, New Jersey, USA - JUN 15, 2023
UPDATED: JUN 15, 2023 12 ounce bottle from Mark H. Bright copper pour. Pillowy beige head. Clinging lace. Toasted malt, sweet caramel, resiny pine aroma. Big boozy flavor right out the gate. Toasted malt, resiny pine, sticky mouthfeel. Reminds me of DFH 90 Minute of even slightly, their 120 Minute. A simple brew that packs a wallop. Lots of bitterness on the backend. Deceptively potent.

caribou43 (3061) - SWITZERLAND - JUL 19, 2022
UPDATED: JUL 19, 2022 This bottle is coming from the casino supermarket, Evian. Opening this bottle on saturday, relax, so hot, welcomed ipa, too strong for this hot weather even though it was a good one, better at the autumn. The body is a deep dark copper body, average carbonation, white and brown foam. F.... powerful double ipa, one was enough for me with this wave heat. This one is boozy, note of malt, sugar, toffee, so citrus, so bitter, heavy ipa to drink quietly, warm, could be more subtle.

UPDATED: JUL 16, 2022 12 oz. bottle from Total Wine (Triangle), Raleigh, NC (best before August 29, 2022). Dark orange pour with a frothy off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt with faint floral and citrusy hops. Taste features grapefruit and tangerine but is swiftly met with considerable amounts of toffee and caramel. Finish is sweet but the hops manage to cut through keeping this from fatiguing the palate. A great malt-balanced DIPA! (I'm not sure how this is my first review of this beer. Perhaps I have not tried it since before I started reviewing beers in 2009. Trying this in 2022, this is not as bold as it was 15 years ago but it may be more welcome to me. This stands along with Dogfish Head's 90 Minute IPA as the only other DIPA I can think of that is widely distributed that features the malt profile as well as the hops. While DFH 90 Minute has long been a favorite this does not quite best its Delaware neighbor. Still, I am glad that this beer exists to cut through the haze of trendy DIPAs.)

beerme31 (794) - Holly Springs, North Carolina, USA - JAN 16, 2022
UPDATED: JAN 16, 2022 Copper color thin tan lacing. Smell of caramel, sweet malts, pine. Taste is light sweetness, medium body bitter hop finish, sticky, can tell it is high alcohol.

drpimento (7525) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 12, 2021
UPDATED: DEC 12, 2021 The aromas are an interesting blend of caramel and pine resin. Flavors are like nose, adding a little metallic, more sweet than bitter. Slightly soft carbonation with full body. Boozy finish of course. It's good but not great.
