DijkBier (3356) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - APR 1, 2021UPDATED: APR 1, 2021 Bottle sold as over date, but still nice. Pitch black pour with small beige head; decent retention. Aroma is burnt/roast malts, chocolate and something spicy that might be related to be the earl grey (if you know about it). Taste a mix of dark sweetness and dark bitterness, developing from sweet to bitter; lasting dark chocolate, but also some milk chocolate, some licorice, bit coffee. Very soft carbo and slick mouthfeel; full body. Nice 'breakfast stout'!

thirstyrabbit (2001) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - OCT 2, 2018Bottle. Dark body, tall tan head. Sweet roasty aroma with English tea - just a nice touch of it, doesn't get too dominant to ruin the stout. Rather sweet and deeply roasty taste with plenty of oat and a side note of Earl Grey. Very smooth mouthfeel, no astringeny. Sweet oaty finish. Perhaps a bit too sweet for some tastes but I liked it. A likeable breakfast stout with a character.
