UPDATED: DEC 28, 2022 Bottled (SB Umeå). Pitch black colour with a small brown head, which vanishes rather quickly. Aroma is chocolate pudding, cocoa, some mild fudge notes. Flavour is chocolate, mild liquorice and alcohol along with some toasted and ripe fruity notes. Sticky sweet, yet somewhat dry palate.

Svesse (14192) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - FEB 20, 2022
UPDATED: FEB 20, 2022 (Bottle) Dark brown colour, almost black, with brief head. Malty, roasted nose with coffee, black rye bread, sweet liquorice, soy sauce, chocolate and a touch of cinnamon. Malty, roasted taste with notes of coffee, chocolate, sweet liquorice, brown sugar, black bread, soy sauce and a mild roasty bitterness in a sweetish finish. Full body, really sweet. Definitely on the sweet side, but still in great balance, with lots of chocolate, coffee and liquorice. Great beer.

UPDATED: OCT 25, 2020 Czarne w barwie, piana niewielka, opada do obrączki.

Grumbo (19923) - Ipswich, Suffolk, ENGLAND - AUG 5, 2020
UPDATED: AUG 6, 2020 5/8/2020. Bottle courtesy of Nisse666, cheers Thomas! Pours dark brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of dark chocolate, cocoa powder, hazelnuts, hot chocolate, dark fruits, coffee and prunes. Moderate sweetness and moderate roasted bitterness. Surprisingly watery body. Soft carbonation. Lots of cocoa to throughout. Enjoyed it but needed more body as a 12% imperial.

BitterChalice25 (259) - - JUN 19, 2019
UPDATED: JUN 21, 2019 Amazing aroma of toasted chocolate, raisin. Taste is roasty with medium sweetness and a hot alcoholic finish. Overall super enjoyable but booze heavy

4.6
Aherbelste (145) - - MAR 23, 2019
UPDATED: MAR 23, 2019 Aroma is granola, biscuits, vanilla, chocolate, caramel, toffee, and a little bit of coffee. Color is dark black, opaque, with a thick and consistent tanned foam head. Taste is overly sweet, with a little spicyness. Flavors are inmensely complex and varied. One can find hints of cream, butterscotch, and all of the elements previously described in the aroma. Slightliest note of molasses/black honey. Texture is smooth, slilky in mouth. Sticky lingering aftertaste, typical characteristics of a barrell aged Imperial Stout; long bitter finish, bourbon notes. Body is full, carbonation is soft. One of the best examples of the genre, definitely the best Lervig has up to date.

4.2
hauxe (4002) - Butzbach, GERMANY - MAR 9, 2019
UPDATED: MAR 9, 2019 From the bottle. Black with a thin brown head that fails to last. Rich, rich aroma of overripe plums, toffee, and vanilla. Taste is sweet but nuanced. Very much a dessert beer. Lightly warming at the finish, but absolutely no sense of the 12% abv. Dangerously drinkable.
