UPDATED: FEB 14, 2023 Cask at Royal Oak. Dark brown color, thin tan edge head. Aroma of nutty caramel. Taste is burnt caramel, light toast. Nice.

UPDATED: DEC 30, 2022 05Aug2022 Dark roast malts, cacao, chocolate, toasted bread, light molasses. Clear, very dark brown, small, creamy, beige head. Light bitter. Dark roast malts, chocolate, cacao, toasted bread, burnt molasses, soft carb, light bod. Very nice, nice aroma. Cask at GBBF22.

UPDATED: JUN 11, 2021 Dark, (obviously) quite nice rosty aroma, with Malty and nutty taste,with fruity finish. Very light carbonation,.

UPDATED: JAN 29, 2020 Cask at GBBF 2007, Earls Court on 09/08/2007. Nice and quite fruity, but not Harvey’s finest beer. A bit on the thin side.

UPDATED: DEC 18, 2019 Near mahogany colour with a beige head. Aroma has some nutty and roast notes, as does the taste. A tiny bit thin ( as you’d expect from the ABV) but perfectly drinkable.

UPDATED: JAN 26, 2019 On cask at MBCF. Dark tan head on a mahogany still body. Dark berry & malt tastes. Roast & nutty.

Cask at The Harp. Clear amber brown. Aroma of roast, nuts, some caramel. Sweetish, malty, toasted and nutty, overall pretty bland. Thin body, watery. Quite clean but not very exciting.

I respect any beer that is under 3% and still has some flavor. There's quite a lot to like about this -- it's got some nutty/toasty notes and more going on than the ABV would suggest. However, I did find it a bit thin, and the caramel and stale bread notes started to overpower my palate by the end.

Cask at GBBF 2017. Clear chestnut, small beige head. Nutty and caramelly malt aroma, red apples, floral hops. Medium bodied, medium carbonation. Semi dry, low to medium bitterness.
