Draft at brewpub: Pours a dark brown that is near black, with a large tan head and nice thick lacing. Aroma is roasty with hints of dark fruit and coffee. Flavor is more roastiness with chocolate and cofee. Bits of smokiness. Nice creamy mouthful. Nothing fancy here, but well done.

On tap at TableRock BrewPub Pours out almost black topped with a small cream tan head. Great aroma of roast malt and coffee. Nice sweetness with light bitter also a little wood. Great full body brew a nice mouth full.

Very dark brown with ligher edges. Brown and rocky head. Nose has some bitter roasat and hops. Almost a soy sauce quality is around. Mocha and chocolate add to a pretty good blend of dark malts. Bitter roast shows first followed by some chocolate and a hint of coffee and mocha. Bitter hops, some toffee and a touch of alcohol. Thick bodied and sticky. It coats the mouth. Dark malts finish it off with roast leading the way into a bitter tail.

Sumo Stout! nice, fairly subtle roasted aroma with a full, somewhat chocolatey and highly roasted flavor, moderate hopping complementing a substantial toasty malty base; not overly complex, but rich, full bodied. Great!

Black pour with then tan/brown head, spotty lacing. Nose of fruity hops, cinnamon extract, buttery roast. The flavor is rich with creamy roast & light alcohol. Finishes creamy, a bit astringent but still sweet enough to balance. Fairly average & smoky with some licorice soy sauciness.
