Medium oily amber with just a hint of legs in the glass...subtle earthy apple-brandy nose, less alcoholic and harsh than the Mistelle des Pommes...vanilla, almonds later in the aroma...sweet, alcoholic body with oak and bitter almonds showing up late. beerbuzzmontreal (2921), Montreal, Quebec, Canada

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 25, 2005 Bottle: Amber color cider with strong alcohol aroma. Body is quite full and taste is sweet with alcohol a bit too prevalent. Overall, I would say this is still an above average as a strong dessert type cider. Goldorak (439), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 24, 2005 Another Québec cider with the word "glace" in it. It’s not just a fad I’m afraid, it’s to fool people into thinking this is Ice Cider, which it is not. This is more of a Mistelle.
Light caramel, it sticks on the sides of my glass as I swirl it.
Nose is like a Calvados, strong ethanol vapors, with perhaps a bit of oak and maple. Pretty hard stuff, again maple shows up but not much else. A little too strong, I’d use it to make deserts or deglaze a pan. CapFlu (3489), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Feb 23, 2005 (375ml bottle) SAQ $22. Displays a deep amber soul with an oily viscosity. The nose is very sweet and one dimensional - the high ABV only comes out during a deep inhale. sweet to the lips though - picks the tongue and nasal cavity with its highly estery palate. Honey and perhaps sage come to mind as well. The finish is sweet and burning. Average.
