UPDATED: SEP 25, 2020 On tap @ Sante Adairius. Slightly hazed, bright yellow beer with a white head. A lot of bread and biscuit qualities, but kind of grainy. Has a whole lot of lemon juice and zest to it as well. Decent amount of sweetness to the flavor but also kind of an acidic finish to it. Dry and grassy finish. Pretty decent, though nothing amazing. Was hoping for more.

Draft. During my bachelor party long weekend in the san francisco area, @ SARA. Yellow pour with light head. What we all needed after all these different beers. Crisp, mildly hoppy and mildly sweet. Drinking beer.

Draft pour on tap at the brewery (Capitola, CA). Pours a hazy glowing yellow hue, good color and glow, frothy whitish head atop laces as a decent ringer, frothy lacing is solid. Aromas are dry, hoppy, a touch citric and certainly floral. Crisp bready malts, straw, some crackers, dry appeal. Clean, a bit of green grape essence. Initial is lighter bodied, crisp, dry, ceral. Some straw, white grape, grass and an herbal hop coolness that lingers on the palate. Some straw, dry bready malts are clean. Light bodied, certainly crushable. Pretty simple but fresh, bitter. Tasty stuff.

On draft at Caps & Taps. It pours a lightly hazed yellow color with a white head. The aroma has soft pale malts, vanilla, melon and citrus. The flavor is pretty much the same with balanced notes of soft pale malts, melon citrus and hints of vanilla. A little spicy/earthy bitterness. Very crisp on the palate. Great stuff. Crushable.

On tap at the brewery. Aroma is fairly hoppy with some nice citrus and light stone fruit notes. Moderately, crisp grain notes. Grapefruit, pineapple, orange and a touch of hop resin and pine. Pours a hazy, somewhat bright yellow gold with a medium sized, thick white head that recedes fairly quickly to a thin film that lingers for a bit. Moderately high lacing with no legs. Flavor is crisp and dry with a light sweetness. Moderate grain notes with a medium light bitterness. Medium light hop notes with grapefruit, orange, lighter pineapple and stone fruit with some light resin and dank notes. Some light floral esters. Mouth feel is medium light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice foray into lagers by SARA. Tastes fairly clean if a bit estery with crisp malt notes. Nice hop character. Easy drinking.

Pours gold with a white head. Aroma is yeasty dough with some heavy cream and wheatgrass. Flavor is clean and grainy, slightly grassy in the end. Nothing wrong with this.

The beertender at Sante Adarius told me that the lager was dry-hopped with Citra and Mosaic, instead of a noble hop (say, Saaz) or a New World noble-hop proxy (say, Matueka). Also something yeasty seems to going on here. Mixed fermentation? Hybrid lager yeast (ala VTT’s Suregork/Kristoffer Krogerus)? I have no idea. But Santa Adarius is exploding with creativity these days, as evidenced by this beer which tastes like no lager you’ve ever had before.
