COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
IT’S A NEW DAWN, IT’S A NEW DAY, AND WE ARE FEELING BLOODY GOOD!
Our first recipe developed on our own gear at our new brewery! A seriously hopped up East Coast IPA with tropical and citrus aromas bursting from the glass, this is a showcase of Citra and Nelson Sauvin hops. Kegs only for now and the first look at the brewery. Come and get it.
THE DAWN boasts BIG fruit! Tropical notes of pineapple and mango are paired up pretty nicely with some light citrus – grapefruit and orange act to lift up the aromatics big time. A slight piney resin character underlines all that fruit and offers balance. Unfiltered, THE DAWN pours slightly hazy in the glass with a bright lemon colour.

jmgreenuk (19546) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - JAN 29, 2021
UPDATED: JAN 29, 2021 375ml can from Monster and Beer, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a hazy golden colour with a short-lived frothy white head. The aroma is funky yeast, tropical citrus fruits, mango, light alcohol. The flavour is moderate bitter and sweet, with a rich, warm boozy, juicy citrus, floral hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Plenty of fruit and well hidden alcohol, but somewhat light for a DIPA.

UPDATED: JUN 27, 2020 (Can) Pours opaquely cloudy golden with tiny white head - looks like fruit juice. Big aroma is a cocktail of fruit, pine and herbal notes. Lovely palate, full body, smooth with fine soft carbonation. Great taste too. Again quite a lot going on. There’s hops from start to finish with a gathering bitterness through the palate, with a long strong bitter finish. The fresh fruit at the start balanced this well. There are herbal notes and some biscuit malt and the alcohol bite is subtle but present. Very good.

Maris (3436) - Canberra, AUSTRALIA - JUL 12, 2019
UPDATED: JUL 15, 2019 From a 375ml can on 12/7/2019. Pours a cloudy pale golden with a small white head. Has a pretty big aroma of dank tropical fruit with quite a bit of zest and spice. In the mouth it's very nicely balanced - a good whack of citrus, tropical and stone fruit sweetness, followed by a pretty assertive zesty bitterness, featuring loads of peel and a bit of spice. The palate is smooth and slick, the carbonation moderate to average. Big and bold yet still very approachable. All up, it's very tasty and well done.

UPDATED: MAY 30, 2019 Pours an unassuming slightly hazy pale yellow. Strength of aroma is a hint of things to come, lemon zest, passionfruit. Flavour is punchy, dank tropical fruit, melon, mango. Bitterness is resiny. There's a toasty malt backbone which drives quite a strong sweetness to the finish. The alcohol is well hidden by everything else going on. Very long finish.

colui72 (4932) - Sassari, ITALY - MAY 22, 2019
UPDATED: MAY 22, 2019 Pours hazy straw-yellow, a minimal white head and no lacing. Aroma of the usual hop mango and citrus. Tastes medium bitter, hop dominated, mango, pineapple, grapefruit. Nothing new, a good NEIPA but not distinctive! Medium body, flat carbonation, enjoyable to drink. As I said, good but on the boring path.

CacheManyHose (1431) - HONG KONG - MAY 9, 2019
UPDATED: MAY 9, 2019 Tall can from Brewcraft. Pours a cloudy orange-beige with a small to nonexistent head. Smells of huge juicy tropical fruit, tangerine, pineapple, mango, grassy resin bitter hop, sweet and tart and crisp, bready malt. Taste starts with lemon/lime and pith, turns into woody hop, ends on spicy deeply bitter note. Body is less creamy / more watery than most NEIPAs but very zesty, with a bitter stony dry finish. Yum.

HKdIPA (1437) - HONG KONG - MAY 9, 2019
UPDATED: MAY 9, 2019 Can from Brewcraft at home - this is the NE DIPA version, 9.0% ABV. Light hazy-opaque golden, slightly peachy pour with thin fuzzy head. Aroma is bright and zesty bitterness - lemon, mango, lemon balm. Very nice. Taste is more zest and tart lemon peel bitterness. Sort of similar to Carbon Brews’ Crazy Rich Lupulins in its huge lemon zest flavor. Has that fuzzy smooth palate I like in many NEIPAs. Lasting tingly bitter warmth. Very nice. Would get again.
