Davros (5045) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - FEB 6, 2021UPDATED: FEB 6, 2021 Pours black, small off-white head.
Nose shows coconut, banana, roasted malt, soft chocolate. Like a banana split. Amazing.
Flavours include truckloads of roasted malt, some banana, coconut, a bit of booze, caramel, and a fair whack of booze.
Maris (3436) - Canberra, AUSTRALIA - DEC 24, 2020UPDATED: DEC 24, 2020 From a 650ml bottle on 24/12/2020 (ABV listed as 12.5%, shared by Butz with thanks). Pours a deep deep brown with barely any head. The nose is big and boozy, with a good dash of caramel banana and some coconut. Taste sweet up front with caramel, dark fruit, vanilla, and coconut, but it takes a very intense turn, with a massive boozy roastiness asserting its dominance. The mouthfeel is syrupy and the carbonation moderate. Actually presents way bigger than its 12.5%, and is a true boozy slow sipper. Complex and super intense, but its all a bit too much for mine. Glad to have tried, but for me it's just good rather than great.
mansquito (16986) - Nueva York, New York, USA - DEC 7, 2019UPDATED: DEC 7, 2019 Bottle from explosivesog at share: black with beige head. Aroma is fruity, chocolate, coffee, vanilla and coconut. Taste is somewhat bitter, roasty, fruitiness is there, cocount. Nice tangy, slightly alcoholic finish. Great.
CurlyJoe (731) - AUSTRALIA - APR 4, 2019UPDATED: APR 4, 2019 Black, treacle. Spicy, roasted aroma. More plantain than I thought was possible, heaps of taste for such a bland fruit. Lots of dark choc and roasted coconut, lives up to the bounty name. Lots of fruit cake spices, new one every sip. Lots going on here.
ANZUShophunter (3661) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - MAR 27, 2019UPDATED: MAR 27, 2019 On tap at the Mill in porter glass. Pours near black w/tan head, aroma of dark choc & molasses. Rich depth w/forward bitterness, a touch of spice in finish. This will age well

cgspeck (6) - - NOV 28, 2018 does not count UPDATED: NOV 28, 2018 Opaque and dark. Beautiful aroma that belies it's complexity. On tasting the cocount and vanilla is obvious but restrained, as is the alchohol. I can't help but wonder how long this bottle has been aging, it is just soo smooth and delicious. Highly recommended.
