COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We think the Russian tsar would have liked his stout this way. A dark, rich ale in which a generous sweetness with roasted malt bitterness. Serving temp.10°C/50°F. Great with vanilla ice cream or dark chocolate.
Ingredients: Maris Otter, Munich, roasted barley, oat, black, and chocolate malt; Columbus and Crystal hops; English ale yeast, and our local Grimstad water.

Imperial Stout fra Nøgne Ø er en tett og helt svart ale med stor fyldighet. Smaken domineres av kaffe, sjokolade, lær og tørket frukt. Vi synes den passer bra til mørk sjokolade og kraftige desserter.

UPDATED: FEB 6, 2023 Bière 50cl achetée à Geilo en Norvège, robe bien noire, bière assez sirupeuse, nez sur le cacao, en bouche c'est délicat malgré les 9°C qui passent très bien.

UPDATED: FEB 6, 2023 Bière 50 cl trouvée au Vinmonopolet de Geilo. Robe sombre, très peu de carbonatation, texture épaisse, liquoreuse (dans sa texture au versage, pas au goût), pas de mousse. En bouche, malt torréfié, espresso et chocolat noir intense; bière onctueuse, équilibrée, très agréable.

UPDATED: JUL 29, 2022 Bottle from Beers@Moviefun. Hazy black, small, yellowish beige head. Aroma of prune, raisin, espresso, fondant, tobacco, dark fudge, leather, beef stock, teriyaki, whisky. Taste has sweetish prune & raisin in a dark-chocolatey malt body, lesser note of fudge; bitter espresso & leathery core with salty-umami edges. Softly earthy hoppy fiinsh, strong bitter coffee roast, fondant, tobacco, some dried fruits and warming whisky-like alcohol. Full body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Excellent textbook Imperial Stout.

UPDATED: JUN 16, 2022 750ml Bottle at Home 01/01/2014 Big fruit hop and roast aromas. Large beige head. Black strong in alcohol rich and smooth on the palate hoppy and fruity with a bitter warming and slightly dry coffee roast finish.
