UPDATED: FEB 21, 2023 62 peso bottle from W.Supermarket , Pasay : brownish-copper red brew with a small persistent head ... nutty , toasty malt aroma ... sweetish , caramel flavour , mocha , thin body , watery mouthfeel , crisp & clean ... finishes quickly , no aftertaste .

colui72 (4896) - Sassari, ITALY - FEB 3, 2023
UPDATED: FEB 3, 2023 A 7-eleven beer that had previously tried 6 years ago. Only once. A lot of caramel on the nose, chocolate and roasty notes. Dark brown pour, fluffy beige head, good retention and laces. Moderate bitterness, some malty sweetness, chocolate, hazelnut, dark fruits. Not bad. Light and well carbonated, pillowy and pleasant to drink. Very pleasant for a San Miguel beer. Although artificial flavouring has a big part here.

UPDATED: FEB 28, 2023 Roasted malts burnt oak. Light body for the style. This is just ok you know?

maekchu (5664) - JAPAN - MAY 15, 2022
UPDATED: MAY 15, 2022 Mild raosty nose, with a bit of dark fruit, maybe some raisins. Dark translucent brown color with reddish edges and a thin filmy dark tan head. Flavors similar to aroma: dark fruit, hint of roast, figs, raisins, and a slight touch of chocolate and dark sugar. Flavors fade out pretty quickly. Sort of tasty, but one-dimensional.

UPDATED: MAY 15, 2021 Light roast but mostly just tastes like one of those non-alcoholic malt drinks you find in Latin America. Plenty of caramel and some booze. I remember enjoying this amidst the other bullshit in the Philippines but that's about the best recommendation I can give on this one. Bottle.

BineHopper49 (1) - - NOV 26, 2019 does not count
UPDATED: NOV 26, 2019 Won't get into the clever stuff. It's beer not wine. Tastes great looks like a dark beer should - dark. Smells like - don't know, lost my sense of smell. Best dark beer available in Indonesia and the price is way better than the options.

flying_pig (3134) - IRELAND - OCT 23, 2019
UPDATED: OCT 23, 2019 330ml bottle from Coco Supermarket, Seminyak, Bali (Rp 29,000): Dark brown to ruby red in colour with a bubbly, tan coloured head that sits about a centimetre tall before halving in size. Roasted malts & darker notes open the nose with sugars & caramel showing before a nutty aroma sees things out. Similarly the taste is dark with the same roasted malts & toasted flavours the nose hinted at, I got more of a nutty flavour here too with & earthy bitterness near the end. It's smooth & medium bodied beer with a semi-sweet, crisp & wet feel to it & the balance was better than expected too. This one was easy to drink, enjoyable & one of the better San Miguel beers I've had into the bargain.

Stew41 (2523) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - FEB 9, 2019
UPDATED: FEB 9, 2019 Well better than the regular garbage I guess. Def has some body & flavour and there is distinct (albeit faint) Germanic vegemite stink.......ahla bock. Some thinness late. Fully priced at 135 baht.
