UPDATED: MAY 24, 2023 Can from the Low Cost Beer online shop. Pours near black with a thin beige head. Aromas of prune and leather. Taste is dusty cocoa and light coffee. Thin finish.

UPDATED: MAY 4, 2023 33cl bottle. My bottle was called Extra Stout - Dutch Dry Stout 5.5% ABV so I assume it is this beer. Pours an opaque black with good tan head that fades fast but remains for a while. Looks great. Aroma is a mild dark malt & hops. Beer is quite light with the dark malts to the fore with a moderate hop bitterness that lasts. Off dry this drinks like a fairly standard stout to me. OK but ordinary.

UPDATED: FEB 15, 2023 Can from beer 52. Ok but pretty boring stout. Not nice enough to be sessionable and not strong enough to be sippable.

UPDATED: FEB 9, 2023 330ml can from Beer52: BB 8th March 2023, drank at home on 8th February 2023. Beige head on a black body, malty with a chocolate and ground coffee base which gives off both aromas and flavours throughout. Body could be slicker, but it's only 5.5% I suppose.

UPDATED: JAN 7, 2023 Smells of chocolate and molasses. Taste is molasses and milk chocolate with a coffee bitterness at the finish. Bonfire toffee and cola. Nicely done.

UPDATED: NOV 2, 2022 Bottle. Malty aroma and taste, roastyness, coffee notes, cocoa, medium bitter. Medium body, malty roasty cocoa dry bitter finish. Ok.

UPDATED: AUG 17, 2022 Pours dark with a small tan head. Aroma is dark chocolate, coffee, dark fruits and candy sugar. Medium bodied. Taste is roasty, bitter coffee, burnt toast, chocolate and a bit like a dark Belgian ale. Lovely in fact.
