COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bridge Road Brewers reached the 12th year of brewing in 2017. To celebrate we have continued the tradition of brewing a new yet bigger incarnation of the B2. This year we have stepped things up to reach Mach 7.0.
The recognisable combination of complex dark malts, fruity Belgian yeast characters and big punchy hops remain, however we have turned the dials up yet again. We hope that you have enjoyed part or all of our past 12 years as much as we have and look forward to sharing the next 12 with you, beginning with the Mach 7.0. Cheers!

UPDATED: NOV 21, 2020 Bottle. Black with a good rocky inch of light tan head. Aroma of mocha, brioche, pine, nectarines, candied orange peel. Some Vegemite. Getting towards syrupy with a creaminess and moderate carbonation that it certainly needs. Very sweet with roast, mocha, brioche and caramel then quite strong bitterness comes through. A bit suffocating. I continue to think that this hasn't got better just bigger, but we'll see how 10 goes.

UPDATED: NOV 6, 2020 Three year old growler and it was great! Thanks to Pat here in Sydney. Blackish with a huge sparse tan head. Roma is dark chocolate, roast, citrusy hops. Flavor is very nice, balanced, lightly sweet and lightly bitter, great roast and chocolate. Medium plus body, smooth feel. Surprisingly nice.

UPDATED: OCT 26, 2019 Opened 14/4/19 at home. Pours a dark amber / hazel with a decent amount of head. Aromas of herbs, stone fruit and other flavours resembling a Belgian Quad. Taste is amazing - super complex but well balanced. Notes of stone fruit, caramel, herbs and a smooth boozy aftertaste. Maybe waiting 2 years was a brilliant decision because it was exceptional. Some sediment which is expected but didn't taint the flavour. Wish I had another bottle - brilliant.

UPDATED: MAY 27, 2019 750ml bottle. Dark brown blackish pour, large tan head. Fruits and spice in the aroma, flavor is roasted mallt, thick mouthfeel, chocolatey biscuit, fruity, like a quad/black ipa, weird but okay.

On tap at Bitter Phew. Pours black with a big tan head. Chocolate, smoke, burnt toast, orange, pine, mandarin, something a bit floral. Full body. Tasty if a bit full on.

I love the film se7en. I get so caught up in its individual moments of depth I miss the harsh gore. It's the gore that earns it an 'R' rating, which always seemed odd to me as I had never been effected by it in that way. Likewise with this beer, although having a 10% alcohol rating, this wasn't immediately apparent. It's immediate impressions were similar to those of se7en, great depth of flavour and strong palette. Like se7en, I would not recommend for children or lightweight drinkers. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Keg at Bitter Phew. Pours jet black with a dirty tan head that slowly dissipates. Aroma is big boozy dark fruits, chocolate and a little coffee. It's like a really good Christmas cake. Taste is boozy Christmas cake, the orange pithy comes through strongly at the finish to give a really good bitter drying finish. Alcohol is well balanced. Lovely and thick mouthfeel. Really good stuff.

750mL champagne bottle Looks amazing - pitch black, opaque, pours a big tan head holding on leaving clumping lace Aroma oozes from the glass - resiny, citrusy, tropical hops, rich dark chocolate, dark caramel, dark coffee, spicy pepper & clove, undertones of raisin & black cherry. Palate is intense - plenty of creamy texture, thick yet plenty of carbonation & roast cutting though, holds on tremendously. OH YEAH! Flavours are just fantastic - everything you could hope from an amazing Black IPA combine with elements of a dark Belgian strong & Imperial Stout - treacle, espresso, bitter orange, passionfruit, black plum, pepper, biscuit, nuts, chocolate lots of it, licorice, jaffa, pine, blueberry, blackberry, everything dark imaginable wow! BIG contender for best Australian beer ever (looking at you Ramjet). And best Black IPA ever. Put this in barrel boys!!!

FROM THE KEG: Fruity sultana aroma. Hint of smoke in front palate that dissipates quickly. Rich and velvety mouthfeel, with great density. Xmas cake in a glass basically but with some funky hoppiness going on. Cannot feel the 10% alcohol-no burn at all. This is another cracking annual release. Well worth the purchase. Great beer and highly recommended. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very thick and black with creamy brown head. Fruity aroma, quite mild, hint of smoke. Very sweet chocolate taste, like and imperial dark beer. Hoppy tang comes out too though, before a sweet finish. Very tasty and lucious.
