DuffMan (10981) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 23, 2009
Bottle. Clear golden with an average white head. Nice subtle tropical fruit hop aroma with underlying clean grains. Unfortunately there is less hop presence in the flavour than in the aroma, however the finish has a nice bitterness appropriate to the style. Not bad, but there are much finer pilseners to be had in this beautiful country.

Colore dorato chiaro con schiuma bianca, densa e cremosa.Aroma di luppolo e malto dolce.Gusto di malto, dolce.Per una pils ceca in versione neozelandese non è male.

330ml bottle. Nice crisp clean golden colour. Decent head but doesn’t hold as well as I would have expected. Fresh fruit nose a touch floral almost faint airfreshner. Sweeter malts, reasonable body but just lacking that punchy dry crispness that you expect from this style.

Bottle 33cl. Golden clear body with large full head. Fruit and hops in the nose. Sweet, bitter hops in the flavour and a good bitter aftertaste.

(Bottle 33 cl) Clear, golden with a dense and creamy, white head that leaves some lacing. Floral hop aroma and some sweet malts up there too. Medium body with a very sweet malt base before a dry, lightly hop bitter finish. Not really dry enough to be a genuine Bohemian Pils. 240108

When NZ breweries want to brew good pilsner they certainly can! This is a great drop, it looks good, smells great and is amazingly refreshing. Not quite as much flavour as biman or wanaka brewski but has a little bit more hop bitternes that makes it more refreshing.

TheGrandMaster (2335) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - DEC 23, 2007
Bottle, poured a clear gold with a white filmy head. A strong hoppy aroma with green apples and grass. A smooth palate with a buttery malt flavour and a hoppy dryness. Maybe a little bland for me.

Bought this recently from my local supermarket...I enjoy Pilsner Urquell, and was really impressed by this local interpretation of the Czech style. Plenty of bitterness, and seems well balanced. Crisp, clean and really drinkable. I’ll have more!

Golden colour, hop aroma, full mouth feel, refreshing finish. Excellent pilsner!

Bottled. One of New Zealands best Pilsners. A great traditional, hoppy nose which tells the story of great Lagers without being too bitter. Wonderfully crisp. Highly recommended.
