UPDATED: FEB 13, 2024 Schiuma bianca, abbondantissima, fine, uniforme, assai persistente e di ottima aderenza alle pareti del bicchiere. La birra si mostra di un colore giallo dorato dai riflessi arancioni, appena velato se la mescita esclude i lieviti, più torbida se questi ultimi sono aggiunti. Al naso ha una buona intensità ed è contrassegnata da note importanti di resina e di agrumi (arancia amara, chinotto), mentre il malto rimane di sottofondo, discreto. All’inizio del sorso prevale una nota dolce di crosta di pane e caramello, ma ben presto essa è raggiunta dalla potenza del luppolo che riconferma quanto sentito al naso, con sentori intensi di agrumi amari e spezie. Il corpo è ottimo, medio senza essere troppo denso e nasconde bene l’alcolicità elevata; il finale è secco e lunghissimo e persistente e la frizzantezza è notevole, ma non invadente, con bollicine molto fini.

UPDATED: JAN 22, 2024 Taste: Crisp, bright yet a combo of three gentle hops, floral, some spice bread notes. Straw grain floral hint of white peppery nose.

UPDATED: DEC 11, 2023 330ml bottle, Les Crepes de Sophie, Shrewsbury, around 2013. Pours a hazed golden yellow, vibrant white head. Aroma of familiar Chouffe yeast, fresh hop, leaf, grapefruit. Continues to taste, bright hoppy character, good grapefruit bitterness with some noticeable yeasty shades. Excellent Belgian IPA.

UPDATED: NOV 12, 2023 Houblon Chouffe IPA. Õlle on selline jook, et iga uus kord kui klaasi või pudeli suule tõstad, siis leiad midagi uut, sõltuvalt tuhandest-miljonist pisiasjast, mis hetke olukorda mõjutavad. Seega piirdun iga õlle juures selle tekstiga.

UPDATED: SEP 9, 2023 Bottle (Best before end 9/2023) pour from The Beer Store, Salem. It's a lightly hazy yellow with tons of sparkle, thin cap of off-white head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma is strong pine, fruit esters, bread, yeast. Taste is piney bitterness over milder fruity esters, late cracker. It's light-to-medium bodied with smooth, frothy texture, lively carbonation and very dry finish. Alcohol well hidden. Elements of both styles are evident but too biased to the bitter hops.

UPDATED: AUG 3, 2023 Poured into tulip glass. Brilliant yellow color. Nice creamy head formed perfectly. Sweet ripe citrus & Belgian yeast on the nose. More citrus, pine, dried herbs really satisfy on the first sip. Hops are perfectly balanced. Long finish. A special brew- definitely recommend it!

UPDATED: JUL 28, 2023 Golden with thin white head. Aroma is fruity, pear. and lemon. Taste is belgian fruity and phenolic with soft but bitter finish . Superb

UPDATED: JUN 12, 2023 Servida en tulipa, color amarillo pajizo opaco, espuma blanca bien conservada. Aroma a levadura belga, flores, fruta, cereal, malta, bizcocho, resina, especias... En boca es ante todo muy sabrosa, buen cuerpo, compleja, fondo dulce con notas de levadura belga y repostería y final largo con golpe de amargor lupulado. Un enlace perfecto entre una tripel y una IPA, nueve grados perfecta y deliciosamente camuflados (ojo). Gran cerveza
