UPDATED: JAN 1, 2023 12 oz. can, 5.6% ABV, Canned on: 10/05/22 AROMA: Strong scent of hazelnuts followed by hints of brown sugar and milk chocolate. APPEARANCE: Pours a slightly-opaque dark brown with a medium-tan head that dissipates somewhat quickly and has zero lacing. Appearance-wise, the body is a fine looking beer, but the head could use a lot of improvement. TASTE: Ever-so-slightly sour on the front-end with a fair amount of hazelnut flavor. That is then followed by subdued chocolate and caramel flavors. The finish is lightly bitter with fading hazelnut flavors. MOUTHFEEL: It is medium bodied with a slightly rough texture. Carbonation seems a little above average. OVERALL: Not bad, but I don't think I would want to drink more than one of these at a time. Or at least, not without some kind of palate cleanser between beers. The reason being that I found the predominant hazelnut flavor to become 'tiring' as I was drinking the beer. The first half of the beer, I found quite enjoyable. But by the last half of the beer my taste buds were ready to be done with the beer.

UPDATED: APR 25, 2022 Another beer that I've reviewed before and has been lost or something. I'm guessing about 20% of my reviews have disappeared. Anyway - I can't think of a better brown ale with a hazelnut twist. Everything is very well balanced and tuned.

UPDATED: DEC 8, 2021 12oz can, got from Doreca beer shop store @Rome Fiumicino drinking 08/12/2021 Canned 03/06/21 Pours a full slightly reddish-amber light brown with thin but creamy intense beige foam. Aroma of rich malt and caramel, bread, nuts slightly warm, hazelnut. Taste is slightly roasted malt and caramel, sweet enough and slightly tart, good sweet-light bitter balance, sweet hazelnut taste with notes of roast and caramel. Quite easy and drinkable, lightly hoppy finish which is nice, malty and hazelnut short finish, not too much aftertaste, i would say it's quite drinkable and ok tasting but a bit thin and watery. Surprisingly for the aroma the 5.6% abv go unnoticed. Light to medium body, smooth watery to oily texture and soft carbonation. Tasty enough and quaffable would like to have it again.

labeerinthum (7903) - Milano, ITALY - OCT 15, 2021
UPDATED: OCT 15, 2021 Bottiglia.
