Commercial Description:
Murray's Grand Cru is a tripel made with an authentic Belgian yeast and pours a pale straw colour with a fluffy white head. Hints of banana and bubblegum, backed with dry-hopped spicyness of Hallertau hops, dominate the aroma and flavour, which is balanced by silky biscuity malt flavours. This intense ale finishes full-bodied with a mellow bitterness.

A nice, very drinkable belgian Golden Strong Ale style beer. Has some good malt character, with soft alcoholic notes, quite fruity too.

Bottle 75 cl. Hazy yellow with a white head. Sweet but somehow skewed citrusy nose. Medium body, a little low in carbonation, sweet fruits and malt with a yeasty edge. No bitterness. 110709

Bottle shared by someone at my table for the grand tasting. Thanks. Nice hazy blond pour. The flavor and aroma were not too strong, but it was still very pleasant. Mildly sweet, somewhat thicker mouthfeel, but still with refreshing aspects of a belgian blond.

Draught fresh from the keg. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Straight from the pour the spicy, fruity aromatics of this beer teases me enough that I give in without any hesitation to take a sip. More of that goodness I like in a Tripel...fruit, spice, banana, bread and a touch of alcohol, that provides warmth in the mouthfeel. It’s true to the style, and once again Murray’s have added another tick to their repertoire.
