UPDATED: JAN 19, 2024 Bottle from Drinks Vanuxeem, Ploegsteert, Belgium. Pours a hazy golden/amber colour with a thinnish soapy looking white head. Aromas of yellow fruits, some ripe stoney fruits and peppery spice. Taste has bananas and cloves, apricots, lots of peppery spice, some floral, honey, a touch of warming alcohol (brandy like) and also some hints of bubblegum. Some sweetness and very well balanced. Medium to full body, fairly low carbonation and smooth creamy like mouthfeel. Brilliant Triple. Very nice indeed!

UPDATED: NOV 14, 2023 (bottle 0,33l from topvino.cz online shop) Overall: Ok spicy-fruity belgian character, later alcohol more evident. Aroma: Sweet, fruity, later light alcohol. Appearance: Clear golden. Medium, white head. Taste: Medium sweet, malty, candy, spicy, fruity, later alcohol. Palate: Medium body. Dry, long light warm finish.

UPDATED: NOV 12, 2023 Appearance: fogged deep gold with a good off-white head. Aroma and taste: pedigree esters providing apricots / peaches. Spicy yeast, pale malt, grass, warming alcohol. Light to medium sweet and bitter. Hoppy ending and aftertaste Mouth feel: full body, average carbonation. Summary: nice one.

UPDATED: SEP 26, 2023 Bottle at de kulminator. Pours clear amber, nose is caramel, bready, herbs, taste is sweet toffee, caramel, marzipan, creamy.

UPDATED: SEP 11, 2023 En tulipa, color dorado anaranjado, turbia, espuma blanca de mediana retención. Aroma a levadura, pan, naranja madura, bizcocho, algo de plátano, melocotón en almíbar, frutas de hueso, especias. En boca entra moderadamente dulce, con notas frutales, maltosas y de cereal, ligero amargor en el retrogusto, además de especias. En general una tripel correcta y agradable, para mi gusto la mejor sin duda de las tres Kapittel que llevo probadas hasta ahora (aparte de ésta, Pater y Prior), reconozco su calidad, aunque yo quizá esperaba algo más.

UPDATED: MAY 26, 2023 Fruity woody nose. The beer starts full bodied and fruity. Banana, plums, raisins. Deep malty, not much bitterness, hints of grain. Really easy to drink, nice depth.

UPDATED: FEB 18, 2023 bottiglia 33 cl, schiuma bianca fine media persistenza, color giallo ambrato torbido con lieviti in sospensione, al naso lieviti belgi spezie succo di pera note floreali lieve banana e ananas, in bocca marmellata di pesche pera frutta candita note erbacee, corpo rotondo, astringente, carbonazione leggera, l’alcool si sente ma non disturba, molto dolce compensato da un amaro accentuato lungo nel finale. UPDATED: DEC 22, 2022 Das Kapittel Watou Tripel Abt 10 hat seine Zahl von den enthaltenen 10% Alkohol. Hell bernsteinfarbig und klar im Glas bietet sich ein ungewöhnliches Bild eines Triple. Die feinporige, daumendicke Krone ist gut stabil. Der Geruch nach Pflaumenlikör mit Honig und starkem Alkohol zollt Respekt. Beim Antrunk weitgehend unverbauter Alkohol mit ordentlicher Honigsüße. Dabei werden schwache Sherryaromen fast erschlagen. Pflaume ist noch da, hat aber auch zu kämpfen. Beim Abgang der besondere Popering Hopfen, von dem ich bis auf etwas erdigem Aroma nichts erkennen kann. Für mich hat der Alkohol zu viel Präsenz, etwas mehr Sherry oder Pflaume wäre mir lieber gewesen. 09-2020

UPDATED: OCT 14, 2022 Zijdezachte tripel van de abdij. Het palet van graan, sinaasappel, mout en zeer licht de gist is harmonieus. Het aroma is nog rijker en steunt op de gist. Deze hartige toon haalt de smaak omhoog.
