patrick767 (6451) - fort wayne, Indiana, USA - JAN 23, 2024UPDATED: JAN 23, 2024 Pours black with a small tan head. It has a rich aroma of dark roast malt, coffee, and chocolate. The flavor is intense, a massive stout with enough resinous hops to cut the huge malt bill, leaving a balanced, full bodied brew that ends with a fairly bitter but still enjoyable taste. Excellent.

Samuel214 (5216) - Örebro, SWEDEN - FEB 19, 2023UPDATED: FEB 19, 2023 Flaska från 2018. Svart med fluffig beige krona. Old school och kärvt.

Ebony, undetermined clarity. Small, light-tan head, moderate retention.
Dark chocolate, light, not sharp alcohol, prune, raisin, vanilla. Yes, it's a strong, roasty perial stout. Why is this so highly rated vs the million others just like it? Can't tell.
Soft, malty, heavy chocolate and roast, big prune and vanilla. Thick texture, not syrupy or cloying with good attenuation though pushing it on the heavy roast and bitter chocolate notes. A great example, for sure.
