| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 1, 2010 Bottle - Pours a blackish brown. Nice tan head. Very good lacing. Aroma of chocolate and coffee. Exceptionally smooth and creamy. Very nice warming feeling. Tastes like a sweet coffee/caramel capuchino. Its not a beer that you will get excited thinking about, but it is very robust and all around solid. I will enjoy the rest of the 6 pack. Beerman6686 (1310), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 16, 2009 This one poured a very dark brown color with a very minimal tan head. Aroma was nice roasted dark malts and some chocolate sweetness in there as well. Flavor was dark roasted, some smokey hints, and a chocolate sweetness in the backend. Overall a good porter, but lacks the complexity of the great ones like edmund fitzgerald. towerjac (33), Lansing, Michigan, USA
