| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 13, 2009 Cloudy amberish with too much debris. Aroma of maple ham or bacon, alcohol, brown sugar, old wood, burnt toffee, stale grains- savory and a bit weird, challenging. Flavor is richly sweet with cinnamon, honey, cereal, old wood, stale grains, maple, alcohol, generic spice. A dessert drink for sure. Full body, rich, viscous. Interesting, but not my style. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 11, 2009 Hazy brown and viscous. Huge malt aroma isn’t anything special, more like unhopped extract. Chewy, with a chocolate accent. Super thick - tastes and feels not unlike mumme, which isn’t even fermented. More interesting than anything else. omhper (12247), Stockholm, Sweden
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 1/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Aug 6, 2009 Bottled, 2006 vintage, thanks Joss! Viscous nut brown, absolutely no head. Aroma of malt syrup and raisin. Sweet and very thick, I mean thick like chewing gum. Though still overy sweet it has started to develope madeira like raisiny flavours like mature prunes. Still at this point it remains mostly a sickly sweet mess, but in another 5-10 years it may actually be something worth actively searching out. Beershine (2754), Traipsing Around, Cambodia
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 4, 2009 2006 Bottle, shared by Jonas! Flat thick and rich brown color. Rich mincemeat dessert aromas, like a flourless cake made with dates and figs. Thick sweet silky palate. the flavors are much sweeter than the aromas let on with too much sugar for me, but the flavors are still well-constructed. Not so complex but I like it. kappldav123 (1871), Markkleeberg, Germany
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Jan 4, 2009 Thanks for this great trade, yespr! The bottle looks really good, the beer in the glass almost black, no head. Starts very, very sweet, oily, like glue, very scratchy and warming finish. Wouldn’t guess is has 25% ABV. But the beer is not really enjoyable. thewolf (5808), Kolding, Denmark
