UPDATED: JAN 12, 2024 Aroma of black coffee, burnt malt, a little Bourbon with a little burnt caramel. Black and impenetrable, no foam. It tastes like black coffee, burnt grain. The body is medium to dense. Carbonation is low.

UPDATED: JAN 3, 2024 0.33l can. Thick pitch black colour with lasting, huge but quickly shrinking brown head. Aroma: Espresso, dark chocolate, oak, vanilla and a hint of rye bread. Taste: Brutal full malty start with nutty and earthy tones and with a huge bitter mouthfeel. Has a very oily texture. Full body with soft carbonation. Very long lasting bitter, earthy and ashy finish.

UPDATED: DEC 23, 2023 1 finger tan head, black body. Nose: Dark chocolate, espresso, liquorice, tar, roasted malts, soy-sauce and brown sugar. Taste: Espresso, dark chocolate, roasted malts, soy-sauce, liquorice, dark bread, caramel, prunes, brown sugar and vanilla. Long bitter ending.

UPDATED: DEC 10, 2023 Burk från SB. Trögflytande opak kolsvart vätska med medelhögt mörkbrunt skum. Koncentrerad och intensiv smak. Saltlakrits, bränt socker, tjära, bitter mörk choklad. Lite för mycket men väldigt maffig. Wow

UPDATED: NOV 28, 2023 2 finger dark brown head. Dissipates at a slow pace. Leaves a full lacing all around. Pitch black beer. Aroma of soy sauce, espresso, hint of raspberries, dark chocolate, toffee and a hint of fresh yeast. Taste of espresso, tons of oats, hint of soy, dark chocolate, light berry acidity, touch of BA and toffee. Unbelievably balanced. Mouthfeel is thick but not that heavy at all, quite easily drinkable actually. Sticky. Medium-high bitterness. Low carbonation. Overall: Fantastic stuff. Points of critisicm would be that the finish feels slightly hollow but it is under 10% and it's packed with flavour with that in mind. It's just missing that last oomph in shock value, which I'm guessing DORIS and TORIS solves.

UPDATED: NOV 27, 2023 On tap at L'Autre Oeil (Gatineau, QC). Pours an opaque black body with a thin, lasting, beige creamy head. Rich malty aroma with roasty and chocolate hints. Alcohol is well hidden. Its robust, well balanced, malty taste carries roasty, woody, and cocoa notes. Ends with a long sweet/roasty finish. Very well done.

UPDATED: NOV 26, 2023 Black as night and viscous pour with chocolate milk coloured head which dissipates within 30 seconds. Slightly sharp and rich aroma with soy sauce, maple syrup, hints of sweet licorice and chocolate. Medium-full bodied palate, mostly sweet with a drying finish with medium-low bitterness.

UPDATED: NOV 25, 2023 Can 355ml. Jet black with a creamy brown head (initially fizzy). Sweet aroma of malts and plums. Taste slightly boozy initially but this settles. Afterwards the taste turn into heavily roasted coffee, chocolates, molasses and pears(?). Beer for a winter night

UPDATED: NOV 24, 2023 Thick pitch black pour with a dark fluffy head. Aroma: dark chocolate, bourbon, whisky, coffee, nuts, cream, roasted malt, hint of mint. Taste: dark chocolate, cacao, coffee, hint of bourbon, roasted malt, hint of molasses. Full body. Quite dry but with some sweetness.
