GDTRFB (8954) - Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA - DEC 27, 2023
UPDATED: DEC 27, 2023 Pours clear gold into a willi. Bright white head with good retention recedes to mottle surface. Cracker, hay and lemon/lime aromas. Soft with sweet hay and cracker upfront turning to lemon and lime pith and peel in the dry, medium length oak finish.

ClarkVV (13421) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - FEB 1, 2023
UPDATED: FEB 1, 2023 Brewery draught, 2/1/23. Hint of haze. Glowing lemony-honey-golden. Large, well-retained, snow white head. Rich mineral, honey, bread dough and fresh, assertive (but not too much so) hops. Clean, aromatic, no alcohol. Soft, juicy almost with so much rich, honey-drenched malt flavors and a slight vanilla and wood presence. Massive, juicy, fresh herbs and fresh cut grass hop charge, but low bitterness to help keep the focus on the malt. Clean, rich, mineralesque and crazy drinkable. Wow. Where Poetica is a bit more restrained, elegant and traditional, this is just a feast of flavors and richness.

jbruner (9245) - Lakewood, California, USA - JUN 2, 2022
UPDATED: JUN 2, 2022 Pours a mostly clear golden yellow on tap with dense cap of white foam that dissipates to leave great lacing. Aroma of clean hay and cracker malts over light lemon and grassy hops, light lager yeast behind. Taste is lightly bitter from the hops, light sweetness from the malt, clean and crisp on the finish. Solid pilsner, for sure but I've honestly had better and this seems to have super high ratings based solely on exclusivity.

MrOrla (4956) - Odense, DENMARK - DEC 9, 2020
UPDATED: DEC 9, 2020 Growler. Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma of honey dew, spicey herbal hops, a mineralic twang, white bread. Taste is rather bitter, loads of herbal hops, slight touch of grass, flowery, dry finish. Elegant.

djd07 (28636) - Houston, Texas, USA - JUL 30, 2020
UPDATED: JUL 30, 2020 Growler. Pours a cloudy golden with medium creamy white head leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is grass floral citrus. Slick velvety mouthfeel crushable such light bitterness, enjoyed this.

HippyHop (1187) - Quebec, CANADA - AUG 16, 2019
UPDATED: AUG 16, 2019 On tap at the brewery. I'm doing this from memory since the service is spotty at HF (probably intentional). I remember honey and cereal malt, some oaky notes, noble hops. I also remember thinking this is the prettiest beer I've ever seen. A slight swirl of the glass and the cap revives to a full inch of foam. Smooth texture, soft carbonation. I've never had a true krausened lager but I feel like this is exactly what one should taste like.

PhillyCraft (12794) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 31, 2019
UPDATED: JUL 31, 2019 4-5 mugs at Hill Farmstead. Pours a clear dark golden with massive creamy head. Notes are dry grass, crisp Earth, spicy Saaz, and beautiful lager yeast. Had to decide if I liked this or Poetica 2 better, tough choice, both are insanely good. Reminds me of a softer Victory Hip Czech with more flavor and body from the oak/krausening. Makes me want to pump off

jc1762 (2365) - JAPAN - JUL 29, 2019
UPDATED: JUL 30, 2019 Lager glass showing pale amber with a finger of clean white foam. The nose shows lightly intense clean lager malts with notes of raisins on warming up. The palate is well carbonated and light bodied with a clean mouthful. Malt forward with a light tartness and light notes of wood.

DiarmaidBHK (7924) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 21, 2019
UPDATED: JUL 21, 2019 Draft at Armsby Abbey. Pours yellow with a white head. Leaves a lot of lacing in the glass. Creamy and crisp on the tongue with a nice malt thing going on. Finished dry. Very crushable.
