UPDATED: JUL 28, 2023 [12114-20200507] Can. Roasted sweet mild chocolatey grains and campfire aroma. Black body with a medium-lasting foamy light brown head. Bitter brown toasted grains and sweet chocolatey syrup flavour with a beery aftertaste. Full body. Good, nice balance. (7/3/8/4/15) 3.7

UPDATED: NOV 12, 2022 Poured from 355mL can (Tmavý Ležák 12° - pkg 21 Sept 2022). Very dark brown with small beige head. Toasted nuts, dry dark chocolate roast malt. Great balance, good flavours.

Tessic (2162) - Brantford, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 17, 2022
UPDATED: FEB 17, 2022 This dark lager poured a deep black colour with a creamy, brown head. Medium lacing. Scents include smoke, glue, dark toast and a little coffee. First swig was creamy and delicious. Soft mouthfeel, flavours of roasted malts, coffee and dark cocoa. Finish is burnt and lightly sweet with coffee flavours lingering.

czar (14997) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 17, 2022
UPDATED: JAN 17, 2022 can that pours clear super dark brown with a small but frothy and creamy medium dark beige head offering good retention and lacing. deep yet light/lean chocolatey maltiness, grassy czechness, charred peppery pecans, maple-like woodsiness, softly burnt black raspberries, very clean lagering yeast action, minerals, noble resin. moderate carbonation, light body - particularly oily; incredibly smooth and bitter enough herbal-peppery-resinous finish. feels much more like a super dark lager than a tmavy but who cares - it's excellent.

UPDATED: OCT 30, 2021 Huge malts, smoky, light peat, with some resinous hops. Toasty, nitty, roasty. Coffee, toffee, smoke, amazing cereals. Jusr amazing stuff.

blankboy (9698) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 14, 2020
UPDATED: JUL 14, 2020 [Can (355ml)] Pours a dark amber-brown with an average size semi-lasting frothy light-brown head. No lacing. Nice aroma is malty, nutty, a bit roasty and also has notes of cocoa & coffee. Flavour (7+) follows along with light hops in the short finish. Alcohol is well hidden. Average to medium bodied. Really good.

jercraigs (14887) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 9, 2020
UPDATED: MAY 9, 2020 2020-05-07. Very dark brown body, nice foamy brown head fades. 4+ Aroma of toasty lightly nutty dark malt. 7+ Flavour is similar, impression is on the dry side, toasty minerally dark malt, hints of nutty malt and hints at cocoa. 7+ Average plus bodied palate, good carbonation suits it. I'm in the mood for it, very nice take on the style. 7/4/7-8/3/16+ Can from Godspeed, Toronto.

HogTownHarry (9241) - London (Mitcham), Ontario, ENGLAND - APR 10, 2020
UPDATED: APR 10, 2020 355ml can, delivered yesterday from the brewery - time to start CoviDrinking ... Near black pour, small bubbly tan head. Smells like a mild cascadian dark with herbal dry overtones, light alcohol. Taste - man, that's a solid and balanced dry herbal dunkel ... another great Godspeed lager that avoids being cloying. Decent body, mild carbonation, medium roasty/dry finish, not a huge aftertaste. Another winner.

3.3
Tranquillity (3946) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 10, 2020
UPDATED: APR 10, 2020 Canned. Opaque black body, thick brown head. The aroma has licorice, wet leafs and the taste is earthy and slightly smoky.

TimE (8459) - Tokyo, JAPAN - FEB 26, 2020
UPDATED: FEB 26, 2020 Lovely chestnut color. Dry nose with noble hops, nice earthiness with milk chocolate and a touch of dry dog food. Modestly bitterness. Dry, great malt character. Dry bitter finish with lingering chocolate notes
