UPDATED: DEC 20, 2019 Bourbon barrel aroma that also contains chocolate, dark fruit and vanilla. Not very boozy. Cola colored with no head. Tastes heavily barreled with a warm finish. Good syrupy palate. Other than the finish this didn't taste very strong. This bottle is from 2016, maybe it's a lot stronger fresh.

Piwo koloru ciemnej miedzi z rubinowymi refleksami, pianka w postaci obrączki. W aromacie słodko i bourbonowo. Czuć suszone owoce, karmel, dębina, kokos, wanilia, nuty ciemnych owoców, alkohol niewyczuwalny. W smaku świetnie ułożone, dobry balans między słodyczą a wytrawnością. Czuć karmel, suszone owoce, dużo wanilii i kokosa, lekka kwiatowość, mokre drewno, nuty tostowe i nawet delikatna orzechowość. Alkohol lekko rozgrzewa podniebienie. Sporo ciała, niskie nasycenie (praktycznie go nie ma). Mega dostojne, eleganckie i degustacyjne piwo, swietnie zbalansowane i smaczne. Najlepszy barley wine BA jaki do tej pory piłem.

2013 375mL bottle drunk 10/12/18.
Dark mahogany with cola tints. Good clarity. Beige head fades steadily to a ring.
Oh ya, lovely bourbon and oak mix with toffee and molasses, very lightly warming alcohol and soft vanilla. Spicy and full with light chocolate and raisin lingering.
In the mouth, it's soft, slippery, spicy and full of a good mix of oak and bourbon. Everything has aged incredibly well, with little/no oxidation and great malt and wood integration. Super low but tight carbonation with chocolate and vanilla longering alongside fruity esters and warming alcohol. Thins out on the very end with very spicy bourbon and vanilla lingering. Goid attenuation. Lightly sticky at times but not sugary or syrupy in the least.

Thick, sweet, and syrupy, with an unrelenting booziness bordering on overpowering. Not that this is a bad thing: BBA Angels Share is malt pushed to its indulgent extremes, a celebration of fermentation with nary a care as to balance or restraint. Waves of caramel, toffee, date, and fig fade into a booze-fueled bourbon extravaganza on the finish, wood and vanilla and a mild hop bitterness trying in vain to offset the liquor flood. Good, but I'd be hard-pressed to finish a pint; eight ounces are plenty.

Bottle at home. Hazy copper brown with a brief, beige head. Massive aroma and taste of vanilla, caramel, bourbon and toffee. Quite sweet, yet the light roast is balancing it out elegantly. Great sipper!
