COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We turned our regular Damnation recipe into a Tripel. It is bittered with Tomahawk and has Sterling and Cascade in the mid-boil and finish. The beer was then aged on new American oak chips for two to three weeks.

UPDATED: MAR 21, 2023 750mL batch 23 bottled 2007, drunk 3/21/23. Well, this one was pretty much completely gone at this point. Given the 16 years, you can't really fault it, though I was hoping the oak-aging may give it some extra shelf life. It wasn't disgusting or anything, just caramel and vanilla oxidation with some light fruity esters (citrus, clove, white pepper) and a touch of alcohol warmth. Will leave this as a placeholder and rerate when I get a bottle of batch 69.

UPDATED: MAR 1, 2019 La birra ha un sapore eccezionale con un fruttato fruttato, rovere, coriandolo e un finale leggermente alcolico che si mescola bene insieme. La sensazione è ottima con la birra perfettamente gassata

Bottle split at RB Best Encomium share, Santa Rosa, 30/01/16 - Many Thanks ! Hazed golden orange with a decent off white head. Nose is tarte fruits, caramel, spice, light funk, oak. Taste comprises fruit cake, tangy fruit rinds, light hop notes, funk, vinous note, fruit slice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Really solid for the style ... has obviosuly mellowed over time and masks the ABV well.
