UPDATED: JUN 5, 2022 16 ounce can
A solid release from OEC delivers the goods but this isn't their best even factoring in the style. While fun and playful it lacks anything that makes it stand out from cheaper alternatives.

Aroma / Appearance - A nose of flat grain melds with citrus and marmalade. The mostly opaque rose gold body shimmers under a soft pillowy head.

Flavor / Palate - Sourdough bread starter, lemon curd, and cool malt soothe the tongue and throat. Refreshing and light bodied, it fades almost as quickly as it arrives. Predictability isn't a bad trait for a premium lager but at this price point I'd prefer to drink local and save a few dollars. Then again it also provides insight into the processes at OEC and that they can do much more than amazing sours.

UPDATED: APR 20, 2022 Can. Pours hazy pale gold with a foamy white head. Fruity, funky, light malt, light body, dry finish, excellent, but honestly can't classify this as a lager. Let's be real here, lol.

UPDATED: FEB 26, 2022 Pours a hazed pale golden color with sudsy white head. Funky socks and fruity floral aroma. Dry, light bodied, crisp with edges of earthy funk and hops. Interesting, I like it, some may not. Notes: can from TW, Feb ‘22

Slubgob (425) - West Hartford, USA - DEC 10, 2021
UPDATED: DEC 10, 2021 Can in into footed glass. Beautiful bright yellow gold, fine head with fair turban and nice lacing. Nose of bread and light sweetnees. In the mouth fine carbonation, good light malt character with a touch of sweetness. Hope not prominent, but a bit piney in the finish clears the palette. Excellent lager!

UPDATED: JUL 14, 2021 Canned 4/26/21, drunk 7/13/21.
Clear, bright bronze-golden with a large head showing strong retention.
Lovely floral aromatics from the hops are complemented by dainty, honey-drenched malts and a touch of mild citrus. House yeast character adds minerality, deepening complexity. No alcohol or flaw noted.
Soft and malty in the mouth with tight carbonation and great attenuation. Floral/herbal hops are kissed by citrus. Great balance, good maltiness and cleanliness. No alcohol noted.

Mr.Spooks (4985) - Tennessee, USA - OCT 25, 2020
UPDATED: OCT 25, 2020 Great all-around lager from OEC, offering up strong notes of bread, grass, toasted grain, and a moderate pale malt sweetness. Mild citrus and floral veins lead to a crisp, dry finish. Undertones of lemon, apple, and a hint of funk. Delicious.
