UPDATED: NOV 24, 2023 Bottle from BiervanEijk. Gosh, I'm such a sucker for peanut butter... Lots of the good stuff here, with soft roast, coffee, milk chocolate, lactose. Medium sweet and lightly bitter. Medium>full body. Drinks way easier than the 11.5% would suspect. Lovely stuff for peanut freaks.

UPDATED: NOV 7, 2023 On tap at BrewDog Bristol Harbourside, pours black with a tan head. Aroma is bizarre, with lots of lactose, peanut butter powder, and a touch of coffee. Flavour is sour—this must be infected—with sour dark fruits, no traces of peanut butter, maybe some lactose. Ugh, this is all wrong. Really? 100th percentile? This is barely drinkable. Must be infected as I see no others complain about sourness.

UPDATED: JUL 1, 2023 Keg at BrewDog Seven Dials, 22/06/23. Black with a big old khaki head that stays for the show. Nose is dark chocolate, molasses, dark malts, peanut butter. Taste comprises chocolate, molasses, light dried fruit tang, chocolate dipped raisins, toffee, Marathon Bar (Snickers you cunts), mellow roast, brown sugar dusting. Full bodied, oily mouthfeel, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost. Decent kit but falls short of the 4 for me.

bbllmm (64) - Rio de Janeiro, BRAZIL - JUN 17, 2023
UPDATED: JUN 17, 2023 Nose is roasted peanuts. In mouth is full well balanced sweetness with raisins and roasted peanuts with a touch chocolate. Not being too sweet and perfectly blend in alcoohol, it is dangerously easy to drink!

UPDATED: APR 19, 2023 Piwo czarne. Piana szybko opada do obrączki, choć o dziwo lepi szkło. W aromacie wanilia, mleczna czekolada, wanilia, masło orzechowe. W smaku podobnie i bardziej wyraziście Słodkie. Pełnia średnia. Wysycenie niskie.

DonGregorio (1001) - POLAND - DEC 17, 2022
UPDATED: DEC 17, 2022 Can. Black colour, small brown head. Big aroma of milk chocolate, nuts, peanut butter, caramel, vanilla, light coffee. Taste is heavy- sweet, medium bitter, milk chocolate, nuts, peanut butter, vanilla, coffee. Bittersweet coffee finish. Medium to full body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Great, rich, complex sweet pastry imperial stout.

Alengrin (11063) - Gent, BELGIUM - DEC 6, 2022
UPDATED: DEC 6, 2022 Typical pastry stout by this Polish pastry stout specialist collaborating with another Polish microbrewery, with lactose, peanut butter flavour and Brazilian coffee. Practically no head apart from some loose egg-white bubbles, black robe with thin mahogany edge. Strong bouquet of indeed sweet peanut butter, hazelnut purée, chocolate milk and indeed milk chocolate, latté macchiato, sugared tea, toffee, ‘Snickers’ candy, black peppercorns, gin. Sweet onset, dense, candied dates and raisins, soft carb, very full and syrupy mouthfeel; deeply caramelly, toffeeish and milk-chocolatey middle, the ‘chocolateness’ of the malts working well with the lactose, aromatized by strong peanut butter, unmistakable in its sweet nuttiness, which also reminds of Nutella a bit (hazelnut and milk chocolate). Snickers pop up again too, along with a slight roasty coffee effect (cappuccino) in the end, paired with a spicy hop bitter note feeling a bit out of place here; warming, rum-like alcohol ties everything together. Decadent winter warmer – as intended; with Maltgarden at least you know what you are going to get if you order one of their pastry stouts: luscious, sweet, convincing aromas and well-bodied, the way this genre ought to be.

UPDATED: AUG 20, 2022 Bottle 0.5l at home, Nivala. Edition 2021. BBE 1410.2024. Color is very dark brown with small brownish head. Aromas and flavors: Peanuts, milk chocolate, chocolate, coffee, roasted malts... lots of nuts.

humpah (2432) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - MAY 12, 2022
UPDATED: MAY 12, 2022 Bottle from Piwne Mosty, pours black color. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, lactose, coffee, caramel, toffee, alcohol. Balanced and enjoyable aroma. Taste is nicely smooth, tons of sweet notes with roasted malts and milky notes as well, together with coffee. Vanishes in the glass suprisingly quickly, deceptively easy.
