Bottle thanks to will. Pours a cloudy orange with no head. The aroma is a pine and hemp. Medium mouthfeel with nice pine and grapefruit, light dry finish. Good.

ciaranc (1102) - Dublin, IRELAND - AUG 31, 2012
500ml bottle. Light amber with a tight white head. Aroma is understated sour hop, grass/hay, cheddar, barnyard and sweet malt. Taste is biscuity caramel malt, not too sweet. Smooth carbonation, medium finish where the bitterness finally arrives. Better late than never.

Jimthechap (2057) - Christchurch, NEW ZEALAND - FEB 12, 2012
Light amber colour, almost rosy-gold with a thin white head. Excellent hoppy perfume of honeysuckle and pine resin., Evident in the flavour with plenty of good carbonation and a tingle of bitterness on the sides of the tongue. Not overly complicated and a perfectly quaffable pint.

KapitiCritique (379) - Kansas City, Missouri, USA - MAY 14, 2010
500 ml bottle Aroma: Yeasty and a bit of hops, not terribly distinct upon first pouring. Appearance: Pours a flat, light yellowish-brown colour, big, whitish, frothy head which dissipates quickly and leaves minimal lacing. Taste: Sour but not predominantly, bitter - distinctly so but not wildly so, and no real evidence of sweetness. Finishes a tad bitter. Palate: medium body, slightly creamy texture, soft carbonation, finishes more long than short and a nice mellow bitterness. Overall: Yea, I ’d prefer this on tap rather then the run of the mill swill that passes for beer down here and would drink another one just fer fun but it will fade into obscurity as just an adequate beer. (Which is saying a lot actually).

phaleslu (16533) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - OCT 19, 2009
Draft at the brewery. Pours amber with a big off-white head. Hops take up most of the nose, with some malt and caramel. The flavor is also hoppy, smooth from the malt, and sweet from the caramel. Just a little bitter, as expected from one with the hops so prominent. Straightforward and pretty good overall.

DuffMan (10981) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 19, 2009
Bottle, purchased at the Invercargill Brewery bottle shop. Also sampled on tap at the brewery in Nelson when I was there a little over a month ago. Clear sienna amber with a big sudsy tan had that retains beautifully and leaves lacy trailings. Aroma of spicy floral hops and toffee malt. Sweet butter toffee malt with fruity hop character (peach, citrus peel) and an interesting spiciness (mace). This is a malt-forward, sweeter pale ale, but I really liked the hops it is married to. I’ve said before that I like a strong malt presence in my IPAs, and in this case I can say the same for this APA. I really liked this beer.

Orange brown with a light brown head. Caramel aroma with a slight fruity zest to it. Flavour is of bitter, fragrant hops with a caramel undertone.

nate2g (1548) - Boomtown!, AUSTRALIA - APR 11, 2009
Draught at Founders Brewery, Nelson. Pours copper with a medium white head. Aroma of caramel, grapefruit, kiwifruit, lychee and pine. Similar flavour with a smooth mouthfeel and lingering bitterness in the finish. A standout beer from these guys.
