COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
There's nothing quite like the taste of chocolate and peanut butter layered on top of each other. A little bit of sweet and a little built of salt, sometimes even a crunch. With winter upon us, it feels very much like pastry stout season here at Deeds and we reckon it's time to sort out dessert for our staff and customers for the forseeable future. Imperial Stout. Chocolate. Peanut Butter. Don't think, just go!

Desverger (29281) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - OCT 16, 2023
UPDATED: OCT 16, 2023 Malmö October tasting at Palace Hall (14/10/2023) - dark sweet malty with lots of peanut butter action, chocolate and dark caramel malty notes, full bodied, dark malty peanut butter infused finish.

UPDATED: JUN 27, 2023 On tap at GABS Brisbane on 10 June 2023. This is my 23rd beer from Deeds Brewing. I decided to go large for my last drink at GABS so what better way to finish than with a 10% ABV peanut butter imperial stout. Smooth and velvety in the mouth with a big hit of peanut butter in both the aroma and the flavour. Slightly bitter with a burnt aftertaste. It’s like someone poured a stout into a jar of peanut butter.

mountdad (958) - Mount Maunganui, NEW ZEALAND - MAY 19, 2022
UPDATED: MAY 19, 2022 440ml can. Pours an opaque deep brown. Aroma is sugar & peanut with a bit of dark malt. Beer is solid & weighty on the palate, fairly sweet as per pastry, decent hit of booze & peanut as you take a sip on the nose again. Almost no bitterness with a faint malty/chocolate flavour but solid backbone. A decent sipper, not my favourite flavours but if you like a peanut slab & stout; heaven I suspect.

CareLessBrew (24) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - APR 20, 2022
UPDATED: APR 20, 2022 A dessert pasty stout that packs a punch. This may not be a Reese’s but it is tall, dark and handsome. Peanut Butter Imperial Stout @deedsbrewing Imperial Stout 10% As an Imperial should be, this brew pours from a large 440ml can and flows dark and thick. The tan head forms quite large, and leaves behind great lacing. The head is almost as thick as the beer itself! Roasted peanuts, chocolate, and raisins. The lactose is just detectable in the aroma with a bit of the high ABV bleeding through. I also have to mention, I really love the detail on the can as well. More roasted peanuts! The salt comes through a bit in the taste as well. A milk chocolaty sweet flavour along with caramel. The mouthfeel is thick and viscous. Very little carbonation making it very smooth, like a velvety syrup. The beer makes no attempt to hide its warming alcohol feel. Having had a few of these types recently, I like the new take on it. This is a strong version, less sweetness and more of what you are after, peanuts and chocolate. A delicious dessert beer, but best to nurse it. Cheers

UPDATED: MAR 2, 2021 Can from a good buddy. Black with a firm, tan head. Luxurious peanut, chocolate, buttery caramel, vanilla are the standouts. Thicc body. Finish is sweet peanut and chocolate. Delicious dessert brew.

Grumbo (20239) - Ipswich, Suffolk, ENGLAND - OCT 16, 2020
UPDATED: OCT 16, 2020 16/10/2020. Can courtesy of trade with Michael, cheers! Pours super thick almost black with a good size tan head. Aroma initially brings forward the chocolate but peanut develops stronger. Light roasted bitterness and a little berry jam sweetness comes through. Luxuriously full bodied, slick texture, low carbonation. Heavy weight beer which took a couple of hours to get through. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Samma (1000) - Fitzroy, AUSTRALIA - MAY 28, 2020
UPDATED: MAY 28, 2020 Can. Very dark brown. Roasted peanut aroma. Much more peanutty than chocolate. Doesn't quite get the oily aspect of peanut butter. More sweet than salty. But it certainly works a treat.
