UPDATED: MAR 26, 2023 Butelka do 22.10.2025 ; 375 ml. Czarne, gęste, ciemnobrązowa piana drobna, tworzy niską ale trwała taflę. Oblepia trwale szkło i barwi je na brązowo. Aromat praliny i likierowość, kawa i 'czerwona' owocowość w typie wiśni. W ustach jest uderzenie: słodyczy, owocowości, czekoladowości, kawy, pralin, likierowości. Nastepnie jest paloność, alkoholowość, przyjemne rozgrzewanie. Piwo jest wyklejające, gładkie w ustach, a przy tym szorstkie w gardle. Jednym słowem: intensywne.

Piana brązowa, średniej wysokości, drobnopęcherzykowa, zbita, po krótkiej chwili opada do pierścienia, pozostawia cętki na szkle. Po zamieszaniu szkłem zauważalna gęsta, oleista faktura. Aromat: Z butelki dominuje przyjemna, dobrej jakości kawa oraz gorzka czekolada. Po przelaniu do szkła zdominowany przez wysoki, wyraźny szlachetny alkohol o charakterze whisky, destylatu leżakowanego w drewnie (nuty drewniano – waniliowe), a nawet nut perfumowych. Na drugim planie średnia kawa, gorzka i deserowa czekolada, bombonierka z nutą marcepanu, mocno przypieczona skórka chleba, kakao, nuta melasy wraz z wiśnią, czekoladkami z wiśnią w alkoholu. Czuć już pierwsze nuty utlenienia. Smak: Agresywny, gorzki. Na bardzo wysokim poziomie piołunowa goryczka podbijana przez wysoki, półszlachetny alkohol. Dalej gorzko – słodka (a nawet cukrowa) słodowość - gorzka i deserowa czekolada, kawa, bombonierka, kakao, herbatniki kakaowe, cukier palony, melasa, mocno podprażony słonecznik na średnim poziomie. Całość uzupełnia średnioniska nuta kandyzowanej wiśni. W ustach słodkie - cukrowe, treściwość średnioniska, wysycenie niskie, o dziwno jedynie średnie rozgrzewanie alkoholowe. Goryczka bardzo wysoka, piołunowo – łodygowa, lekko alkoholowa, długa, intensywnie zalegająca. Finisz słodki z bardzo wyraźną, zalegającą goryczką, lekkim alkoholem oraz kakao i cukrem palonym.

UPDATED: SEP 18, 2022 Helt sort, højt beige skum, som langsomt svinder til tyndt lag. Aroma er sødlig mørk malt, smagen er meget krydret ved første sip, fed sød, mørk malt, bitter, lidt sprittet, vinder ved lidt temperatur, men ikke en jeg behøver igen.

UPDATED: SEP 1, 2022 Color negro, opaca. Espuma marrón oscuro de un dedo de espesor y corta retención. Aroma intenso, alcohol, coñac, leve vinagre balsámico, higos y salsa de soja. Sabor intenso, caramelo, vino entre tinto y Oporto, coñac, salsa de soja, notas de madera joven y sí, azúcar moreno, maltas tostadas, y apenas un suspiro visto y no visto de regaliz, polvo y chocolate, final largo, umami, alcohol y acidez acética media alta y dulzor azucarado medio, posgusto ligeramente quemado y seco. Textura oleosa. Carbonatación baja. 😉 Un viaje a un mundo hostil de sabores ásperos pre-Pastrys para enfrentarte a la negritud del vacío cósmico, y no viene a dar abrazos gratis. Búscate un buen aliado para no caer derrotado.

UPDATED: JAN 16, 2022 Aroma of dark malts – definitely more roasty than sweet chocolate dessert. Taste is semi dry with a heavy notes of molassess, dark chocolate, even literally burned roastiness like an ash with a boozy note at the background. Good to try it, but I think this is not an ideal one, champagne yeasts do what they want judging by others' opinions.

UPDATED: JAN 3, 2021 Pours a pitch-black coloration with a huge, foamy, mocha-colored head. Smells of caramel malt, brown sugar and molasses, with just a hint of gasoline also coming through. Taste is a terrible balance of caramel malt, huge brown sugar notes, molasses, toffee and lighter dark fruit, with just a hint of chocolate and a really unpleasant, boozy gasoline presence in the aftertaste. Finishes sickly sweet, with some brown sugar and gasoline lingering in the aftertaste. Full mouthfeel with a very rich body and low carbonation. While this isn't quite as boozy as I had feared, apparently reducing the ABV down to 15% from 17.5% had at least some effect, there still is a certain gasoline aftertaste to it, while the sheer, sickly, syrupy, caramel and brown sugar sweetness that drowns out everything else is what truly makes this unbearable, with the Cassonade sugar obviously being WAY overdone here. I drain-poured it after just enough sips to finish this review, absolutely disgusting, how anyone can rate this above 2 is absolutely beyond me, This is just such a typical example of going for shock value at all cost without giving even the slightest regard to balance, it's the very antithesis of what a good Imperial Stout should be all about, while I've had one 17% and plenty of 15% Imperial Stouts that were a lot better balanced than this as well. Basically tastes like a ton of brown sugar dissolved in gasoline, which only gets worse as this warms, absolutely dreadful.
