Hazy darker yellow coloured beer with a small white head and little carbonation. Yeasty creamy light herby aroma with some light alcoholic touches. Full palate. Finish is bitter yeasty, strong and long alcoholic ending. Not bad.
UPDATED: JUL 28, 2007 (Bottled, 10% ABV, "Ijzerbier, brewed for Drankencentrale Vandeputte Hans, Beerst") Hazy golden-amber with a medium, quite firm head. Mildly honey-sweetish aroma with a hint of acidity and yeast (when poured in). Later on, even a sourish vinegar hint. Pretty acidic flavor with some fruitiness, but mostly alcohol burn. Yeast doesn’t take away the alcohol, but emphasizes the fruitiness a bit, and adds some tartness. Medium-bodied, slightly burning palate with medium carbonation. A decently drinkable, but straightforward and a bit too alcoholic tripel.
