UPDATED: NOV 3, 2022 7 October 2022. At Yard House, San Antonio. Shared with the lovely Anke! Hazy yellow, thin, off-white head. Aroma of ripe banana, apple, nutmeg, clove, dough, honey. Taste has sweet banana & apple in a bready & honeyish malt body surrounded by spicy clove and wheaty notes. Floral hoppy finish, a tad peppery; lingering spices & yellow fruit. Medium body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Solid example of the style, nice!

UPDATED: SEP 20, 2022 Draft at Radio Coffee and Beer. Pours yellow with very little head. Leaves a solid amount of lacing in the glass. It’s absolutely bursting with banana and clove on the nose and tongue. Finished clean. Damn fine example of the style.

juiceisloose (3847) - Windermere, Florida, USA - SEP 10, 2021
UPDATED: SEP 10, 2021 12 oz can. Pours a hazy golden color and capped by a small off white layer of foam that settles in quickly to a thin film. The aroma shows notes of banana, clove, wheat, and yeasty esters over pale and bready malt base. Smells like a German Hefeweizen. The flavor follows suit with notes of banana, clove, spice, and yeasty esters to go with the crisp wheat and bready malts with a touch of balancing bitterness on the back end. Nearly full bodied and smooth with balanced carbonation that leads to a slightly dry and bitter sweet banana, clove, wheat, and yeasty esters on the finish. Just a really damn good Hefeweizen that will give even the best German version a run for its money.

ineedbeer (3876) - California, USA - FEB 24, 2020
UPDATED: FEB 24, 2020 Poured from a 12 oz can dated December 12, 2019. Aroma is classic hefe - loads of banana and faint bubblegum esters with light wheat notes. Light clove notes as well. Pours a hazy, pale, dusty, golden straw color with a very large, thick, pillow white head that recedes fairly quickly to a small film that lingers. Light lacing and no legs. Flavor is moderately sweet with light wheat notes. No hop flavors and low bitterness. Quite a bit of banana esters with faint bubblegum. Light clove notes. Lingering bubblegum and sweetness in the finish. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a tasty beer. I haven't had a hefeweizen in a very long time but this is nice and refreshing with a good balance of esters and phenolics.
