UPDATED: SEP 29, 2023 750mL bottle at SP line share, 9/29/23. Dark, viscous. No head. Rich chocolate, spicy bourbon, gooey caramel vanilla and no alcohol, of course. Soft, thick, very, syrupy and rich with heavy vanilla accents and almost a bittersweet character. No alcohol, no excess sugar. Bit of char and gooey fudge. Warming, great acidity. Has held up phenomenally well.

UPDATED: FEB 16, 2023 On tap @ Lupulo. Pours black with a finger of tan foam. Huge maple, bourbon, caramel, and cocoa. Has a nice spicy whiskey note as well as kind of a graham cracker note. Some toasted marshmallow, dates, and toffee. Fairly sweet, but just enough barrel and whiskey to it. Nice stuff.

UPDATED: DEC 12, 2022 Bottle at GHS pours darkest brown with minimal head. Aroma is bourbon, raisin, prune, chocolate, soy, vanilla. Rich medium boozy medium sweet flavor, toffee dark fruit soy and chocolate. Full body, lower carb. Very tasty.

UPDATED: DEC 11, 2022 Bottle pour at Gourmet Staudt Haus in Redwood City. Pours black with no foam. Rich barrel aroma of coconut and vanilla. Well attenuated, but with medium plus body from heavy grain use for high abv. Mellowed dark roast malts. Subtle brown sugar and fig sweet notes.

Roasted malty aroma, chocolate, cocoa, maple, coffee, caramel, wood, bourbon, vanilla, some smoked wood notes in the beginning, light dark dried fruits, some spicy cinnamon notes. Sweet and bitter taste. Full silky oily body with soft carbonation. Wow

UPDATED: OCT 15, 2021 750 ml bottle from the brewery, picked up by Keir - thanks again! Pours a deep, dark, nearly opaque brown with a small tan head that settles into just a very thin ring. Notes of vanilla, cocoa, fudge, caramel, oak, roasted malts, bourbon, maple, and faint spice. Full-bodied, with low carbonation and a chewy, sweet mouthfeel. Nice blend that fits nicely among the heavy hitters that comprise it.
