Magnolia Old & In the Ale

Our English-style old ale available in the winter months to take the chill off of those cold, foggy days in the Haight. It's lighter in color and body than the Winter Warmer, yet a wee bit stronger. Old & In The Ale is more attenuated than the Warmer, resulting in a clean, drier flavor. The simple grist bill contains mostly Maris Otter pale malt with a generous portion of wheat and just a touch of light crystal malt. There is little perceived bitterness but lots of complex alcohol and estery characters. The many extra weeks of conditioning did wonders for its soft but complex flavors. Like the Winter Warmer, it's half pints only for this strong ale.
