lct-yw, §bitter throughout, very bland and watery.
like drinking water out of last night’s unrinsed beer glass. | | | | Big River Grille Sweet Magnolia American Brown Ale | 1.2 | 3.06 | BeerBlockaid | | | @ Seven Bridges, Tinseltown. :Sniffer: Part of the "let’s cheat and grab a bunch of ratings by doing the $4, sample everything on tap" method...........i thought this was Seven Bridges. Well, no matter. Doesn’t change the fact that this brew is absolute crap. What the hell does a Magnolia tree have to do with this? Well, I wondered. Perhaps because the nose smells like the 2 week old dead flower off one of the trees? Probably. Nothing but brown sugar, molasses, and water. Some grain. But bleh...nasty | | | | Nimbus Red Ale | 1.5 | 3.13 | AmEricanbrew | | | Clear amber/ huge off white head. Sour plastic smell with a touch of toluene. medium body. Freshly ground polycarbonate flavors with apple juice, caramel, witch hazel, yikes. | | | | Florisgaarden Chocolat Gardenbeer | 3.2 | 1.64 | DJMonarch | | | 330ml Bottle from the Valley Bar, Scarborough 06/12/2009
Fruit and chocolate aromas. Bronze golden coloured and a little hazy in appearance. Slightly sweet on the palate with some dryness in a big chocolaty finish. | | | | Val-Dieu Triple | 2 | 3.52 | Parket | | | bottle, yellow colour with white and stable foaming head. Smell: yeasty and a bit stinking. Taste: peach, alcohol, yeast, sweet and artificial. Very Disappointing beer for me. Has a lack of palate and is too sweet. Not balanced at all. | | | | Refsvindinge Skibsøl | 0.8 | 2.8 | Blom | | | Jesus, this is extreme. I only lasted one sample. Aroma of soil, smoke, oil and rubber (!). The flavour is sweet and basement-like. Thin palate. | | | | Nøgne Ø Tyttebær | 1.7 | 3.38 | neepsntatties | | | Tried a bottle of this recently. Colour... cloudy amber with no head. Nose... funky, musty and hint of dichlorobenzene! Palate... eeewwww! Too funky! And not in a good way!! A quick shot of polymers, dioxin and PCB’s with a faint hint of lingonberries and brett. | | | | Neuzeller Schwarzer Abt (Black Abbot) | 4.3 | 2.67 | Toxygen | | (Br-btl bk-lbl, Neuzeller Kloster Brau 1589, lager, 3.9%, 12°Plato, sugar added post-brew, "ultimate german dark beer")

Absolutely delicious. | | | | Shock Top Belgian White | 0.9 | 2.63 | iamqueensblvd | | | another failed attempt at a macro to try to recreate the taste or at least appeal of these wonderful micro/craft brewed beers. boring pour, a little hint of spice...perfect drain pour. | | | | Pilsner Urquell | 0.8 | 3.27 | iamqueensblvd | | | I need to retry this beer because the one i had was skunked. Horrible lager taste. Just bad. | | | | Jupiler | 0.7 | 2.32 | dnstone | | | Just a plain lager not much good to say about it. Blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. | | | | Tooheys New | 4 | 2.03 | ChainGangGuy | | | 12.7 ounce bottle - $1.99 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Appearance: Pours out the expectantly crystal clear, pale gold body with a long-lasting high crown of white froth.
Smell: Mild maltiness on the nose with some lightly sweet-scented, bready tones and an everso slender, thin background note of spice.
Taste: Lightly sweet, lightly grainy extra pale maltiness soon slides into a spicy, leafy hop character and faint bitterness. There’s a faint, faroff hint of breadiness, but then the flavor and body lightens substantially prior to the smooth, clean finish.
Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: It’s not a bad lil’ lager. It’s clean with decent, albeit light flavors, has a nice appearance, and, the key, it has no ghastly off-flavors. | | | | Sarasola Sagardoa | 1.6 | 3.3 | kp | |

| | | | Moylans Hopsickle Imperial India Pale Ale | 2.4 | 3.96 | oh6gdx | | | Bottled@Konttori, Tampere. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity and grassy in a rather dry and bitter way. Flavour is quite much exactly the same along with earthy dryness. Way too dry. | | | | Braunstein Næsgaarden Porter | 1.8 | 3.3 | Beer2000 | | | 500 ml bottle sampled@RBNAG 2009, Vatlandsvåg. Reddish brown body with a fin tan head. Aroma of butterscotch and a hint of chocolate. Flavor is thin and acidic butterscotch, chocolate and a hint of caramel. Somthing is seriously wrong here. | | | | LandShark Lager | 3.4 | 1.81 | poisoneddwarf | | | 12 oz bottle. Smells of corn, other grains; slightly tart even. Pours pale yellow with a medium head, nice lacing. Tastes kind of sweet. Medium bodied. Very smooth and drinkable. Not bad at all for this style. | | | | Samuel Adams Cranberry Lambic | 0.8 | 2.5 | Fratto | | | Bottle from a variety 24-pack. Pours kinda red. This beer smells like rotten Craisins. Flavor of old buttermilk, stale fruit, shit, and sugar substitute. What a great beer. | | | | Chevalier Biere de Garde | 1.2 | 2.9 | donfardz64 | | | Pours ruby red, off white head. Sweet pineapple aroma. Sweet, sweet flavours. Pineapple and toffee. Sweet sugary body with a sweet malty finish. An awfully sweet, completely out of style abomination. Biere de underattenuated. | | | | Ayinger Altbairisch Dunkel | 2 | 3.6 | Toxygen | | (br-btl bk/gl-lbl, "Authentic Bavarian Dark Lager", 5%, ¢15/oz)

and a nice herbal hoppy presence in the aroma. Soft hay and grains greet the tongue, followed by a touch of honeybread and earthy hops right along side it; finish is a bit on the hoppy side. Clean, crisp, but still full of flavor; both malt and hops are strong,
