My personal beer epiphany occurred at Fergie’s Pub in Philadelphia when I had my first taste of Chimay Grand Reserve, sometime in the mid nineties. At that moment onward, Yuengling, my previous mainstay, was no longer good enough. I had to keep drinking better beers. Since then, I have sampled thousands of different beers from around the world, made travel decisions based upon beer consumption opportunities and look forward to actively pursuing the elusive next great beer.
