The pour reveals a clear ruby color with a thin offwhite head. Aroma of caramel, mild hops and slightly roasted malt. Flavor of mild hops, caramel, slightly roasted malt, there’s some bitterness in the end. The body is light with a creamy texture and soft carbonation.

Oct 2, 2007 En fût. Verre de dégustation à la brasserie. Arôme: Légère odeur de caramel. Apparence: La couleur est ambrée avec une très faible densité de bulle. Présence d’un mince col mousseux et d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Léger goût de malt caramélisé. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture huileuse. This non-denominational "Rousse" offers earthy hops throughout its bready and nutty malt approach, leading to an assertively bitter finish which tends to overshadow the delicate nature of what preceded.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the clear copper.
-The body is lean and aptly carbonated.
-The hoppy and bitter finish is mostly earthy.
-Some caramel apple fruitiness seeps from the maltiness.
-With a little more malt girth, and less bitterness in the end, this characterless Rousse would become more memorable to me.
