Commercial Description:
BAN is a golden bottle conditioned beer which contains a secret 'essence of Arainn Mhor' ingredient to deliver an aura reflecting the authentic romance of this irish Island.

Is beoir órga é BÁN, múnlaithe sa bhuidéal, ina bhfuil comhábhar rúnda ‘spiorad Árainn’ a thugann blas dúinn ar dhúchas rómánsúil an oileáin Éireannaigh seo.

Note: Contract-brewed in Belgium

Cloudy gold. Well blanaced - sweet fruit as well as citrus. Perfect for a sumemr evning, more like a wheat hefe than a gloden ale?

Slightly hazy, dark yellow/light amber with a big well sustained head. Estery, light citric aroma. Wheaty, banana, estery flavours. Long malty finish. I agree with the Iarsga, this must be a wheat beer.

My notes are crap on this, expect, blonde, wheaty, sour and very malty. Don’t really remember drinking it, so that says alot.

Big creamy shiny white lasting head. Yellow body with carbonation. Mealy citric fruity spicy aroma. Dry spicy banana taste with peppery hop notes. Dry herbal wooden fruity citric aftertaste. Soft, rounded, wheaty feel to it. Nice. Feels a bit like a weizen, but the bottle does not say. (0.5l bottle, Bull & Castle, Dublin, St. Patrick’s Day.)

Blonde colour, skunky aroma but with a bitter sweet flavour, dry enough there is also a bottle conditioned version (Irelands first) enjoyable enough but not outstanding!
