KnutAlbert (2312), Oslo, Norway Jul 3, 2008 Bottle from the brewery.
Creamy head over sligtly hazy brown beer. Lovely intense grassy hoppiness, leaving a long bitter finish.
Pine and oak.
A hop showcase, and another proof that you can make great beer in Norway despite the odds. I’d love a crate of this for summer drinking.
maniac (2022), Richmond, Virginia, USA Sep 28, 2008 Bottle courtesy of Greg Koch at our stop at the Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens on 08/03/2008 on day three of RBSG 2008. Clear copper amber body with a small off-white head. Grassy and floral hop aroma. Sweet grassy and floral hop flavor. Medium body with moderately high carbonation. gunnfryd (2743), Kristiansand, Norway Aug 11, 2008 Bottle. Dark golden colour with an off-white head. Aroma is hop, fruit, malt. Flavour is hop, fruit, grapefruit, malt, citrus. Nice beer. DaSilky1 (1622), San Diego, California, USA Aug 5, 2008 Hazed orange color with a nice frothy top. Nose was citrusy but too subtle. Flavors citrusy also but the body was way way too weak and the hop character, based american standards, was pretty much non-existent. WeeHeavySD (1839), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA Aug 3, 2008 Bottle @ Stone today from Greg Koch. Poured orange with a bright white ring. Nose is muted and hoppy. Taste is light and yummy a pretty good IPA.
