Svesse (2597), Hässelby, Sweden Jun 30, 2009 (Bottle, Monk’s Café, Wallingatan, Stockholm) Golden colour with brief, white head. Fruity nose with lemon, apricots, flowers, shampoo and spices (ginger, fresh coriander). Fruity, floral taste with notes of citrus, coriander, ginger and grassy hops. Medium body, not very bitter but rather spicy. Very tasty beer. Nice one. Yves (989), Beerse, Belgium Jun 14, 2009 Hazy goldblond coloured beer with small white head and no carbonation. JK54B (913), Helsinki, Finland May 13, 2009 A 0.33L bottle tasted at One Pint Pub. Pale head. Some ginger in the nose. Hazy pale yellow colour. Spicy taste. Slightly sweet. Borresteijn (1349), Amstelveen, Netherlands May 13, 2009 33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Another gusher from ’t Hofbrouwerijke, luckily I managed to save more than last time. Cloudy yellow orange beer, lots of yeast, creamy white head. Sweetish aroma with mainly cardemon, which gives it a ginger/citrus aroma. Flavour is dominated by cardemon, sweet, some malts and a good hoppy bitter finish. Medium bodied. If you like cardemon, this is really nice. pivnizub (4949), Bochum, Porúří, Germany May 5, 2009 Bottle: Hazy, orangey-golden with a stable lacy off-white head; sweetish spicy-hoppy nose; quite dry solid bitter-sweet flavour, medium to full bodied; lingering spicy (cough syrup) and bitter finish. Well made stuff..... FatPhil (3446), Espoo, Finland Apr 26, 2009 330ml bottle (One Pint, Helsinki, Belgian Weeks 2009)
Clear gold, large tight head. Sharp fruity hoppy aroma - quite punchy, maybe a bit savoury too. Pleasant carbonation, crisp palate. gingery retronasals, with light grains too. Spicy grainy body, clean slightly milky finish, with light grainy ginger and zest - peach and tangerine. Softer with the yeast. No alcohol at all. (Honest - that was my first beer of the evening, it doesn’t look like it!) ante (2904), Stockholm, Sweden Apr 25, 2009 Bottled at Monks Café, Sveavägen, Stockholm. Pours out in a hazy pale amber colour with a rich firm white foam. Dryish spicy aroma of coriander, mint, anise-seeds, orange-peels and leaves with a a light sweetness of apricots and caramel. Medium to full-bodied with notes of doughy yeast, mild herbs and orangey and spicy hops in the flavour. Spicy and hoppy finish of orange-peels, grass and herbs on a foundation of biscuity malts and mild yeast. mjs (1446), Helsinki, Finland Mar 21, 2009 (Bottle at One Pint Pub Belgian weeks ’09 on 2009-03-20) Golde and hazy.
