yngwie (3394), Kristiansand, Norway Jul 31, 2008 Updated: Aug 2, 2008On tap at 3 Små Rum, Gothenburg. Pours a clear, copper body with a small, beige head. Slightly smoked on the nose, with malts and a touch of alcohol. Citrusy, piney hops to balance it. There’s a smoked touch to the flavor too, with caramel, some alcohol, citrus and pinecones. Quite sweet towards the finish, but also some bitterness and citrus. Full body. A quite unusual beer I think, but easy to drink and flavorful. (080709) Egon (301), Gothenburg, Sweden Jul 26, 2008 Draught. Clear copper with white head. Earthly tones and some floral tones. A touch of dry hops. Dry finish. Ole_R (1167), Oslo, Norway Jul 21, 2008 Draught@3 Små Rum, Göteborg. A clear reddish brown beer with a thin yellowish foamy head. Medium sweet caramellish malt aroma paired with a fresh lemony and grapefruity hop scent. Peppery notes. Very tasty; light sweet malts, an acidic fruitiness, pepper notes again, and strong, almost piney, but still well rounded hopbitterness. Healthy body. Lingering bitter-fruity finish. Very nice. Gusgus (105), Tanumshede, Sweden Jun 29, 2008 Bottle from the brewery. Pours amber with thin head. Slightly hazy. A hint of phenolics at first. Then a nice herbal fragrance with a hint of pine and citrus. Medium to dry palate with dry hoppiness on a sweet malt and alcohol base. Nice but slightly problematic in the fermantation part. Marsiblursi (1378), Göteborg, Sweden Jun 18, 2008 (Draught) Pours a dark reddish brown colour. The aroma is very hoppy and fruity with tones of strawberry jam, apricot, mild resin/pine and oranges. Light sticky caramel and toasted malt backbone. The flavour is medium hoppy and medium to heavily bitter with a caramel and toast background. More citric in the flavour than in the aroma with notes of grapefruit and oranges. Some hints of tropical fruits, grass and pine. The mouthfeel is crisp, light sticky and light smooth. Some alcohol is present. Medium bodied.
